KURE has had a major face-lift with a large push on UI/UX improvements to make viewing certain parts of the site more appealing. I worked on the "Improve UI/UX for the Home and Communities pages", and for individual community pages as well. It took more time than I previously thought.

Three pages got a UI/UX overhaul to the content views: Home, Communities and individual community pages. Each has a default grid view to show the content of kurated posts added to community groups, or community groups data.

If you prefer to see a more compact view to scan the data of a post or community more easily and quickly, you can click on the View icon at the right of the section header to change the view.

The toggling is done with function in each page to check the state showGrid and change it when a View change is selected:

In each page the ToggleView component is also imported and then used to display the toggle icons:

The pages show a different component based on the view selection:

Each pages' grid component then load the common PostGrid component which displays the various data from the kurated post for view:

Up next, I will work on the following tasks previously listed in the original project post:

Post main story content (regular post)
Liking Kurated post submissions in communities
Rating Kurated post submissions in communities
Edit comments
Delete comments
Sort comments
Tweak comments (limit to 20, show more option, max nested depth)
Remember previous upvote slider weight
Implement PRPL Pattern for better performance

I'm heading towards doing the posting of main post content shortly, as that is greatly needed to make the site more appealing to use.

I am adding these tasks to indicate the upcoming work I will be engaging in at some point and in no particular order:

Tabbed views for data sections on pages

Description: Viewing sections of data per page in tabs, rather than one section on top of the other.
Estimated Cost of Development: 2 hours @ $30/h = $60

Kurated posts page

Description: Viewing kurated posts filtered in different ways.
Estimated Cost of Development: 3 hours @ $30/h = $90

Viewing comments in their own page view

Description: Viewing comments as a page, not just under a main post.
Estimated Cost of Development: 3 hours @ $30/h = $90
