"Mom, I'm gonna go play in the park"- Live Jazz in New York's Washington Park, that is!

"Mom, I'm gonna go play in the park"

used to mean the swings and slides and monkey bars. With our son, it means packing a man-in-a-coffin sized upright bass and catching a subway to the park to play jazz standards with fellow professional musicians, for pennies, or dollar bills, and somehow these guys are surviving in New York.

My son!

We said goodbye to him at 11:30 a.m. and drove to La Guardia. He took a train to Washington Park.
Wish we'd been able to see this live, Miles!! Thank God for the video!!

Now you can hear him too:

Clifford Brown's Joy Spring — David Yee, Miles Kean, Dan Venz

And if he could find his Steemit password,

he could post some of his original compositions and artwork here, as does our native-French Steemit musician @bakingjazzpower, new here ten days ago and already prolific and SO AWESOME you have to listen to his covers and his compositions and see his artwork and hope to find him live somewhere, someday (post your schedule, hint hint?).

That's right, Miles. You have competition. This, from your own mother!

NEVER LOSE YOUR STEEMIT PASSWORD

Ok, granted, I did lose mine (I put it in a "safe place" in my laptop and never did see it again). Luckily, it was saved in Chrome, and fellow Steemians showed me how to find it there. Now it's buried deep in an even safer place. Not like I have much in my wallet though. My son after a gig has more in his pocket than I have after two years at Steemit.

But I know where my password is. (Until I forget again.)

* Do As I Say, Not As I Do *

And listen to #bakingjazzpower. He's a genius on the guitar!

Hmm, someday, maybe, he and Miles will be playing live jazz in the park...

Mom will be happy to watch them play.
