Kyoto: Nishiki Market

One of the best things to do when you travel to Japan is enjoying the amazing food in every city you visit. There are many markets full of delicious and exotic food that you can taste right there in the streets.

Fish, seafood, vegetables, drinks, etc., everything beautifully displayed and, in the most of the cases, ready to take and eat.

It's quite easy the get there, situated in Kyoto's Downtown district, between Teramachi and Shinmachi, one block north of Shijo.

Here I show you some of the pictures I took, where you can see the typical Japanese food, tsukemono, fresh tofu, Kyo-yasai, wagashi, fresh fish, drinks...

Amazing place, full of life and plenty of colors. If you visit Kyoto, this is definitely a 'must-see', so don't hesitate and go!!
