Who Are We?
The Inner Blocks is a living breathing entity that focuses on self reliance and wellness!
While my husband and I were traveling all over the country meeting new people, including amazing Steemians, we noticed one very important thing. Everyone has more to contribute to our world than the boxes they put themselves in. Try as we might for social media, we do not all fit into one box. We are made of many different circumstances and hobbies. Those are the Blocks that build our individual world.
Like you, we have many different interests, and some are very contrast to the other. Some may enjoy hunting as well as yoga, or eating vegan while listening to heavy metal. These are just examples of course, and there are no limits to the blocks that make us.
The Inner Blocks is about quality self reliant content measured by personal experience. First hand accounts of your own personal adventure. Whatever you are doing that helps you to become the best version of yourself.
The Inner Blocks is about spreading love, empathy, encouragement and confidence. If you are interested in self reliance, building your own blocks, or helping others build theirs...this is the community for you.
Where Did It Start?
Some of you might recognize us as former leaders of The Global Homestead Collective. For the sake of transparency, I wanted to address this. Through a lot of prayer, we found that we had given all we could to that project. And although it may seem that there would be some sort of falling out with the other leaders or negativity, there simply wasn't. We wish the best for the GHSC, and hope they continue to thrive.
So while we were in this time of prayer and discussion, an idea was born. What if we created a space where the members and users can showcase all the things that make up who they are, the things that make them self-reliant? We all have that in us; a need to create a life with our own hands. Whether it's building your own home, cooking, crafting, gardening, DIY, wellness, spirituality, the arts, and even parenting, these are things we do because we choose to live a full, complete life. These are our Inner Blocks.
Now what if, while giving a space for you to post your own first hand experiences, we also allowed room for encouragement, support and a place for you to learn from others? Now, it really comes full circle. Not only is the Inner Blocks a community to express content, but a place where content creators can fill up, build new or polish the blocks they already have inside of them. So is it a self-help community? Only if you want it to be. But, I will say that it is absolutely a place to share your first hand wisdom that you've worked so hard to get.
What Is Happening Now?
As I am writing this, we have been blown away by the amount of support we are already seeing. We are very excited about the future!
We consider ourselves to be a Web-based business. Right now we have a Dapp in the works. It will be a front end that will connect to the Steem Blockchain which will allow your content to automatically post there, as well as our website. We want to make your experience as a self-reliant creator easy and exciting. Our goal is to create a revenue source via Adsense that we can use to grow the business and support future projects.
Delegations!
OH the D word! We all love a good, hearty delegation and The Inner Blocks is right there! However, what might be different about us is our intentions. Just like I mentioned above, we are all about support and encouragement, and have a business model of "give it all away". With this is in mind, we would use the delegations to give back by curating awesome self-reliant posts based on first-hand experience. We would also use delegations to increase RC to help future on-boarding as well as auto-vote all of our delegators! You can delegate to the account...

I've spent a lot of time telling you what we are, but now I would like to tell you what we are not.
We are not a place of ridicule, cruelness or inappropriate language and actions.
We pride ourselves in being a place where everyone feels comfortable. Where kindness and encouragement lead the way. If you choose to join us, these things matter. The choice of words you use matter. You have a great impact on everyone you come across, so we ask that all of our members choose love first.
