Do you know that feeling, that you have to do something.....but can´t quite remember what?
This story is just that.
I remember being told to write it but I can´t remember what I was supposed to tell you. What I do know is that everything I am going to tell you really happened, even though it may unbelievable sometimes.
Hit Rewind to start from Chapter One
Chapter 13
Cabilah´s arrival started to put the weird relationship I was having with this multitude of women, sharing the same sexy body, into perspective.
She was the fighter, the warrior princess. The one that had a love burning for him, and not me.
She was the strong entity that was called upon in times of trouble, but she was more than that.
Cabilah was the one that did not want to let go of Angle and was very well practiced in manipulating Dani´s perception. I am sure she was the one that did not want to advertise our relationship.
Even though it might look as if she had the odds against her, she knew Sei and the Little One preferred, or possibly were bound, to be with me.
Yet, it is always easier to break stuff, than to make stuff.
Where was Dani in this whole story?
Was she the one I married?
I think so. I think it must have been her. She was the sweet, funny, open girl I met at first.
The girl of my dreams, and what better to trap a guy with than the girl of his dreams, as I am sure they were aware of my dreams.
The moment Cabilah revealed herself things got into a maelstrom. She made it very clear that she was not going to give up on her love. Neither would I on mine.
It was a natural status quo in which we both had to accept that she would have her time with Angle and I my life with Dani.
It is probably hard to grasp, but I was dealing with a whole other person when she was around. That made this weird compromise somehow feel natural. Just as the visits did, for some reason it all made sense to me.
That first time when Cabilah took over and I was blocking the door so she could not leave the room I knew that this was an opportunity. That I had to deal with her in just the right way. Having this entity as my enemy would not work, I needed to make Cabilah my frienemy, and I succeeded (sort of).
Not like I ever expected us to become lovers, but treating her as a real person, as part of the package allowed us to grow closer.
Soon I was able to tell when she arrived (her movements were slightly more nervous than those of Sei). Her visits even started to become fun as I enjoyed her harsh jokes and tough girl behavior. She also seemed to have found something with me, as she visited more frequently.
Cabilah was treated with love and respect, just like the other three. Something she had known very little of and it had its effect.
We became friends, and believe it or not even friends with benefits. She was not that picky, Cabilah enjoyed a hedonistic lifestyle. A rough night with the lover of the lady that owned the body she liked to claim as hers fitted that very well.
I started to notice a pattern, the Little One and her love for chocolate, Cabilah, and her love for sex, drugs, and Rock&Roll taught that the best thing about being human is also the worst thing.
To have a physical shape makes us vulnerable, it makes us hurt easily. At the same time, it allows us humans to enjoy things that are inaccessible to many entities. We should learn to treasure those experiences because there is no coffee, no chocolate, and no you know what beyond the grave.
The Cabilah with benefits situation created a love triangle that Hollywood would have a field day with.
Just think of all the options it provids to the writer of this script called my life.
Did I cheat on Dani?
Would Dani also be with Angle just as Cabilah had been with me?
Or had she manipulated me, seduced me, and by doing so gave her the leverage that allowed her to show Dani that I wasn´t faithful?
Had I been unfaithful?
I guess you could look at it like that, but how did I have to see Cabilah sleeping with Angle?
To me this was not cheating, she was part of the package, and my aim was to make her my frienemy. The benefits allowed us to have an open relationship, in the sense that we did not have to carry secrets around anymore, nor fight or hide from each other.
Cabilah the catalyst, made other things move faster as well. One of those things was me.
Although the compromise was working very well for all of us, it must have been my human ego that still wanted her for me solely. Ego had a hard time letting things flow and wanted to be able to label what we got.
That sparked the idea that it was time to move on. We could not keep living in my little room. I found us something slightly bigger and a little more expensive. There we could live together, and have a fresh start as a normal couple.
I gave myself a little raise in the Coffeeshop I was still working to help me pay for it. I mean if nobody else will, you have to do it yourself.
We moved into a house that had a couple living in the attic, and some Scottish workers downstairs. We got an awesome room on the first floor, which came with a small bedroom as well. It looked classic and spacious, with big windows and high ceilings. Not yet a house but a big improvement, or so I thought.
Our living room made me painfully aware of how few belongings and furniture I owned, but well that would come and we could stack it with clutter we bought together.
Together, that was the idea. Realitys was that there was less and less of it.
Dani was now aware of Cabilah, and slowly it became clear to her as well that she was less in control of her life than she thought. Cabilah had been there more often than not, even when I was around she would be there, watching just beyond the veil.
