In the short while I have experienced Hive, roughly 3 months, it has been fun mostly and I have had a lot of experiences since joining.
Some I cherish more than others.
When I think about my best experiences on hive, many comes to mind ranging from a few friends I have made here, a few contests won and a good no of lessons learnt.
- One of the most memorable was when I won 5,000 Ecency points here
I was very new to the platform then when I stumbled upon the post. I read the rules well and followed it. It was a contest in the comments section to post a picture with a story in no more than 50 words, I did this without putting too much thought to it. I was surprised a few hours later to receive a notification that I was tagged to a post, behold! I was among 3 lucky winners.
Funny thing is, as at that time, I didn't even know what Ecency was or what Ecency points were for, but I knew that 5,000 is no small number.
What added to my joy was when I scrolled through and saw that many other people participated in the contest. This gave me some boost to begin to explore more.
This contest also opened me up to the weekend experiences community which became a regular community I visit and participate in the prompts which has resulted in being listed on the featured contests of the last weekend in march which was another good moment too.
- Another great moment was when I was verified in the hive learners community. Initially I thought the community was only for newbies because of the name, until I realised one had to apply and become verified as a member.
I followed the rules for application and waited, I was so happy when I was contacted to complete the verification and then I observed the member badge close to my name whenever I enter the community. It still gives me great pride whenever I see it.
Before joining Hive, I had a bad experience with crypto back in 2020 during the lockdown. It was my first exposure and it was not pleasant. This resulted in me shunning crypto entirely and I became ignorant in matters of finance (something catastrophic)
- One beautiful thing about hive is that crypto news and updates can be found virtually everywhere and now my crypto experience is many times better than it was before I joined, With the exposure I get from stories and posts on leofinance and various other communities, I will be a crypto genius in no distant time.
About two days ago, I was explaining some concepts in cryptocurrency to a friend, and when I was done, pride overwhelmed me.
Do you know that feeling when you achieve a significant milestone which had previously proved elusive? That was exactly how I felt.
I have also made a good no of friends since joining Hive and currently making some still.
Sincerely I am happy to be on hive and more often than not, I say a prayer for my friend @sperosamuel15 for the opportunity he brought my way. I have also invited a few friends to Hive to come catch the fun I am catching here😅
