Having a pet is a privilege and a responsibility, they are lives that depend on us completely, for those who have read me before know that I love animals and I like to respect them, so at least once a week I write about animals, mainly cats. But with this invitation I can't resist because OCD in its incubation program has chosen to enhance a contest in the community @hivepets (@hive-196708) if you want to know the details, here I share the publication that has all the information for your participation to be valid.

To begin with I must admit that the hard part was to choose one of my seven cats to make this publication because I love them, they are all unique and authentic each one in their own way, with their well defined personalities Manchita, Señor Gato, Pocholo Kapüy, Akiles, Greta and Rusa.

So I had to choose for the most recent pictures I took and they are of the Rusa although I didn't really take them myself, a friend of mine bought a cell phone and when he visits us he takes pictures of the cats.

Rusa

Rusa is the smallest of my cats, she is one year and five months old, she is a medium size kitten of gray color, huge green eyes and very long whiskers, she is a beauty, she has a very strong character and a very beautiful coat.

What drove me to have pets?

The answer to this question is simple, before I was born there was already a puppy at home was the first animal I met and even today it hurts me his departure, as he was poisoned, also at home I was always taught to love and respect animals I grew up watching cats and dogs at home.

Why is her name Rusa?

This little ball of fur is called Rusa because of its gray color, as it is similar to that of the Russian Blue cats. I couldn't think of any name to give her and a friend was the one who baptized her as Rusa.

How did Rusa come into my life?

I worked in a state institution that is responsible for animal welfare and in February to celebrate its anniversary with several activities including a day of sterilization, so came the mother of Rusa a Siamese cat in the company of her three children to be sterilized, there the crush was immediately I fell in love with her, in theory I would not see her anymore, but I gave my number to her humans in case they needed help to get responsible homes for them, to my surprise approximately a month and a half later they called me to help them, so Rusa's two brothers found excellent homes and I did not resist and left her at home with me.

What do I love about Rusa?

From rusa I love many things, first her beautiful color, although sometimes to pick a fight I say she looks like a dirty rat, I love her huge round eyes, my grandmother says she looks like an owl, in fact she calls her "the Owl eyes", I love her long whiskers they are very long, I think she and Pocholo are the ones with the longest whiskers among my cats.

I also love the density of her fur, to the touch she looks like a stuffed animal, it is very nice to caress her, besides she is like round, she is chubby and makes me spoil her a lot.

I love her character, she is not affectionate at all, she hates to be carried and cuddled and starts to growl is a way of saying "let me go do not defile my beautiful body, keep your distance" if I do not let her go quickly and hug her tighter or treat her in a rough way she will surely snort at me, she is a case she licks just where she has been caressed, it is as if she wants to decontaminate herself, hahaha.

On the other hand she gives respect to her siblings and even subdues them if she wants to, she is small, but spicy.

What is Rusa's favorite food?

Rusa has shown an evolution is this aspect, when she came home she would go crazy when she smelled an arepa, I presume that was what they could give her, so her transition to a food suitable for her was somewhat complicated, at first she did not like cat food, so I had to resort to soaking her in some of the blood that bring the livers that I usually get for the herd, currently she loves gatarina (cat food) and chicken liver, also pates and hates ground beef,

What was the most fun I had with Rusa?

What I am going to tell you is totally true, my son gave me five dollars in an opportunity to cancel something, I was distracted and I left them on the bed I presume that when I got up they fell and I did not notice it until the next day I remembered I had to deliver them and I could not find them, so I asked my son and husband , There I learned that the night before my husband had seen the Russian come out from under the bed with the paper in her mouth, but the color and shape caught his attention, so when he saw it better he realized that it was a bill and caught it right in the door and managed to take the 5 dollars from the little ball of fluffy hair. Since that day we call her "Russian the pickpocket", the most impressive thing is that she didn't break the bill, she didn't mark it with her teeth, she carried it with the utmost delicacy.

Para comenzar debo admitir que la parte difícil fue elegir a uno de ms siete gatos para realizar esta publicación ya que los amo, todos son únicos y auténticos cada uno a su manera, con sus personalidades bien definidas Manchita, Señor Gato, Pocholo Kapüy, Akiles, Greta y Rusa.

Así que me toco elegir por las fotos mas recientes que tome y son de la Rusa aunque realmente no las tome yo las tomo un amigo que se compro un celular y cuando nos visita fotografía a los gatos.

Rusa

Rusa es la mas pequeña de mis gatos, tiene un año y cinco meses, es una gatita de tamaño medio de color gris, enormes ojos verdes y bigotes muy largos, es una belleza, tiene un carácter muy fuerte y un pelaje muy bello.

¿Qué me impulso a tener animales de compañía?

La respuesta a esta pregunta es sencilla, antes de nacer ya había un perrito en casa fue el primer animal que conocí y aun hoy me duele su partida, ya que fue envenenado, además en casa siempre me enseñaron a amar y respetar a los animales crecí viendo gatos y perros en casa.

¿Por qué se llama Rusa?

Esta bolita de pelo se llama Rusa por su color gris, ya que es similar al de los gatos de raza Ruso Azul a mi no se me venía a la mente ningún nombre para darle y un amigo fue quien la bautizo como Rusa.

¿Cómo llego Rusa a mi vida?

Yo trabajaba en una institución del Estado que se encarga del bienestar animal y en febrero por celebrar sus aniversario con varias actividades entre ellas una jornada de esterilización, así llego la mama de Rusa una gata siamesa en compañía de sus tres hijos para ser esterilizada, allí el flechazo fue de inmediato me enamore de ella, en teoría no la vería más, pero le di mi número a sus humanos por si necesitaban ayuda para conseguir hogares responsables para ellos, para mi sorpresa aproximadamente al mes y medio me llamaron para que les ayudara, así los dos hermanos de Rusa encontraron excelentes hogares y yo no me resistí y la deje en casa conmigo.

¿Qué amo de Rusa?

De rusa amo muchas cosas, primero su hermoso color, aunque a veces para buscarle pelea de digo que parece una rata sucia, amo sus enormes ojos redondos, mi abuela dice que parece un buho, de hecho, ella le dice “la ojos de Búho”, me encantan sus largos bigotes son muy largos, creo que ella y Pocholo son los que tienen los bigotes mas largos entre mis gatos.

También amo la densidad de su pelaje, al tacto parece un peluche, es muy rico acariciarla, además ella es como redonda, esta gordta y provoca mimarla mucho.

Me encanta su carácter, ella no es cariñosa para nada, detesta que la carguen y la apapuchen y comienza a gruñir es una manera de decir “suéltame no profanes mi hermoso cuerpo, mantén la distancia” si no la suelto rápido y el abrazo lo hago más fuerte o la trato de manera algo brusca pues ella muy seguramente me bufara, ella es un caso se lame justamente en el lugar donde se le ha acariciado, es como si deseara descontaminarse, jajaja

Por otro lado se da a respetar con sus hermanos y hasta los somete si se lo propone, ella es chiquita, pero picosa.

¿Cuál es la comida favorita de Rusa?

Rusa ha demostrado una evolución es este aspecto, al llegar a casa se enloquecía cuando olía una arepa, presumo que era lo que podían darle, así que su transición a una comida adecuada para ella fue algo complicada, al principio no le gustaba el alimento para gatos, así que tuve que recurrir a remojarsela en un poco de la sangre que traen los hígados que suelo conseguir para la manada, actualmente ella ama la gatarina (alimento para gatos) y el hígado de pollo, también los pates y odia la carne molida.

¿Qué fue lo más divertido he pasado con Rusa?

Lo que les voy a narrar es totalmente verídico, mi hijo me dio cinco dólares en una oportunidad para cancelar algo, yo estaba distraída y los deje sobre la cama presumo que al levantarme se cayeron y tampoco lo note hasta el día siguiente que recordé debía entregarlos y no los encontraba, así que le pregunte a mi hijo y esposo , si los habían visto, allí supe que mi esposo la noche anterior había visto a la Rusa salir de debajo de la cama con en papel en su boca, pero le llamo la atención el color y forma así que al obsérvala mejor se percató de que era un billete y la atrapo justo en la puerta y logro quitarle los 5 dólares a la bolita de pelos esponjosa. Desde ese día le decimos “Rusa la carterista”, lo más impresionante es que ella no rompió el billete, no lo marco con los dientes lo llevaba con la mayor delicadeza.

Esta es una pequeña descripción de cómo es Rusa la más pequeña de la manada, pero no por ello con falta de carácter y una enorme personalidad, espero que hayan podido conocer un poco de ella con esta publicación.
