I once did a post about Yesung, a member of this boy band, today I want to talk to you about Super Junior, a Kpop band that has set precedents within their industry and have been promoting their culture in the rest of the world. Super Junior es una agrupación de Kpop Senior de segunda generación. Esto quiere decir que son de la próxima generación de agrupaciones de kpop desde la primera que salió, y se les llama senior a los miembros de una agrupación que tienen una larga trayectoria musical.
Super Junior is a second generation senior kpop boy band. This means that they are the next generation of kpop bands since the first one that came ou,t and members of a band who have a long musical career are called "senior".
Son pertenecientes a la compañía SM Entretaiment, una de las gigantes de Corea del Sur y los miembros de Super Junior son sus principales Idols, pese a tener otras agrupaciones muy famosas también.
They belong to the company SM Entertainment, one of the giants of South Korea and the members of Super Junior are their main Idols despite having other very famous groups as well.
Sus miembros Fueron entrando a la compañía entre el año 2000 al 2005 que fue también el año de su Debut, y aunque inició con 12 miembros (cifra que ascendió a 15) actualmente cuenta con 10 miembros de los cuales 1 está inactivo.

Apodado «El padre del grupo» no por ser el mayor, sino por ser el líder. Es muy responsable y siempre se encarga de que cada miembro haga lo que tiene que hacer. Pese a haber pasado traumas en su pasado, es una persona alegre que suele verle el lado positivo a la vida. Entró a la compañía en el año 2000.
Nicknamed "The father of the group" not because he is the oldest, but because he is the leader. He is very responsible and always makes sure that each member does what he has to do. Despite having gone through traumas in his past, he is a cheerful person who tends to see the positive side of life. He joined the company in 2000.
- Eunhyuk
Uno de los bromistas del grupo. Muy cariñosos con sus compañeros y alegre. Entró a la compañía el año 2000.
One of the jokers of the group. Very affectionate with his companions and cheerful. Joined the company in 2000.
- Yesung
Es bastante tímido y reservado, aún así cuando entra en confianza es bastante bromista y alegre. Es defensor de los animales y tiene gustos musicales particulares, tiene la mejor voz del grupo y además es coleccionista. Entró a la compañía en el año 2000.
He's quite shy and reserved, even so when he gets into confidence he is quite joking and cheerful. He is a defender of animals and has particular musical tastes, he has the best voice of the group and is also a collector. He joined the company in 2000.
- Sunming
Es el miembro inactivo del grupo (hasta nuevo aviso). Dulce, amable y generoso. Entró en la compañía en el año 2000.
He's the inactive member of the band (until further notice). Sweet, kind and generous. He joined the company in 2000.
- Donghae
Es el sentimental del grupo, el que termina llorando siempre en las reuniones o en las despedidas. Usualmente se dice que su apariencia exterior refleja la interior, ya que tiene una apariencia dulce y tierna. Entró en la empresa en el año 2000.
He's the sentimental one of the boy band, the one who always ends up crying at meetings or farewells. It's usually said that his outward appearance reflects his inner appearance as he has a sweet and tender look. He joined the company in 2000.
- Heechul
Es el mayor del grupo, siempre quiere llamar la atención, hace bromas (como bailes graciosos o vestirse de chica) para hacer reír a sus compañeros y tiene síndrome de Peter Pan. Entró a la compañía en el año 2002.
He's the oldest of the boy band, always wants attention, makes jokes (like funny dances or dressing up as a girl) to make his colleagues laugh and has Peter Pan syndrome. He joined the company in 2002.
- Siwon
Es el único miembro del grupo que tiene una apariencia más occidental y que proviene de una familia acaudalada, sin embargo, la fortuna que hoy posee, la ha ganado por sus propios medios como cantante, actor, empresario e inversionista. Es reservado y muy elegante. Entró en la compañía en el año 2003.
He's the only member of the boy band who has a more western appearance and comes from a wealthy family, however, the fortune he has today, he has earned by his own means as a singer, actor, businessman and investor. He is reserved and very elegant. He joined the company in 2003.
- Ryeowook
Es tímido, sensible y reservado. Es catalogado como la segunda mejor voz. Entró en la compañía en 2004
He's shy, sensitive and reserved. He is ranked as the second best voice. He joined the company in 2004
- Shindong
Es el más bromista y siempre tiene los comentarios más graciosos en una conversación. Es confianzudo y bastante conversador, actualmente además de cantante, es también productor de Super Junior y otros grupos de su misma compañía. Entró a ésta en el año 2005.
He's the joker and always has the funniest comments in a conversation. He's confident and quite talkative, currently besides being a singer, he's also a producer of Super Junior and other bands of the same company. He joined the company in 2005.
- Kyuhyun
Uno de los más tímidos (casi no participa en las entrevistas) sereno y bastante romántico y bohemio. Entró a la compañía en el año 2005.
One of the shyest (he hardly participates in interviews), serene and quite romantic and bohemian. He joined the company in 2005.
Super Junior es caracterizado por evolucionar siempre, ampliando horizontes y pisando terreno que ningún otro ha pisado. Es por eso que son precursores en muchas cosas como por ejemplo el efecto Hallyu que se trata de un fenómeno que se inició en Asia y trata del interés y apego masivo de los jóvenes por algún producto, música, o demás de origen coreano.
Super Junior is characterized by always evolving, expanding horizons and treading band that no other has trodden. That is why they are forerunners in many things such as the Hallyu effect, which is a phenomenon that began in Asia and deals with the massive interest and attachment of young people for a product, music, or others of Korean origin.

Y aunque en su pre Debut, no fueron muy bien aceptados por la cantidad de sus miembros, finalmente el grupo terminó siendo un éxito, contando con 15 años de carrera artística hasta la fecha.

They are considered the kings of Kpop, and were named tourism ambassadors in Korea through a survey of foreigners on which celebrity they would like to travel with. Youtube also awarded them as the artist with the most watched K-Pop video of 2011 for their video Mr. Simple.

Algunas de mis canciones preferidas/Some of my favorite songs
- Walkin' (Walking)
Esta es mi canción preferida por sobre todas. Habla sobre superación personal y como incluso un amor puede ser un apoyo y aliciente para seguir caminando hacia nuestros sueños o nuestra meta. Tiene un ritmo fresco y relajado (que en lo personal, me hace pensar en un día en la playa en pleno crepúsculo), es una canción excelsa.
This is my favorite song above all others. It talks about self-improvement and how even a love can be a support and encouragement to keep walking towards our dreams or our goal. It has a cool and relaxed rhythm (that personally, makes me think of a day at the beach in the twilight), it's an excellent song.
- SPY
La primer vez que oí y vi la letra de la canción morí de risa. Tanto que los Idols se quejan de las Sasaengs (Stalkers), pero en la letra de la canción hablan de perseguir y atrapar a una espía de la que están obsesionados. Dejando el chiste de la letra, el ritmo es en extremo pegajoso, la canción cambia varias veces de ritmos y todos combinan perfectamente, y ni hablar de las interpretaciones de los chicos, los altos de Yesung o la coreografía magistral. Una joya de canción.
The first time I heard and saw the lyrics of the song I died laughing. So much that the Idols complain about the Sasaengs (Stalkers) but in the lyrics of the song they talk about chasing and catching a spy they are obsessed with. Leaving aside the joke of the lyrics, the rhythm is extremely catchy, the song changes several times of rhythms and they all combine perfectly and not to mention the performances of the guys, the highs of Yesung or the masterful choreography. A gem of a song.
- Ahora te puedes marchar/You can leave now (cover)
No les dejé el video oficial, sino uno comparativo para que puedan apreciar semejante joya. La canción es un Cover de Luis Miguel y para el MV se les ocurrió la brillante idea de recrear el video original del Sol de México. Los planos, la ropa, las coreografías, todo está casi milimétricamente hecho a la perfección y los integrantes de Super Junior están rotándose el rol de Luis Miguel, incluso caracterizandolo. Además, la canción está en su idioma original, así que los chicos tuvieron profesores de dicción que les enseñaron a pronunciar correctamente las palabras y lejos de un ligero acento coreano, la pronunciación es perfecta y la canción, todo un éxito.
I didn't leave you the official video, but a comparative one so you can appreciate such a gem. The song is a Luis Miguel cover and for the MV they came up with the brilliant idea of recreating the original video of the sun of Mexico. The shots, the clothes, the choreographies, everything is almost millimetrically done to perfection and the members of Super Junior are rotating the role of Luis Miguel, even characterizing him. In addition, the song is in its original language, so the kids had diction teachers who taught them to pronounce the words correctly and far from a slight Korean accent, the pronunciation is perfect and the song, a success.
Super Junior es la primera agrupación de Kpop que colabora con artistas latinos y que graba una canción completamente en español, sembrando precedentes para otros grupos.

Honestamente y para mí es el mejor grupo de Kpop, no solo por toda la trayectoria que ya tienen, sino porque son innovadores y creativos a la hora de crear contenido y siempre, sin dudas, termina siendo de alta calidad.
Honestly and for me it's the best Kpop band, not only because of all the trajectory they already have, but because they are innovative and creative when it comes to creating content and always, without a doubt, it ends up being of high quality.
