A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
A gray and uncertain day welcomed my awakening on my first Sunday back in Naples. Daylight saving time didn't affect what I planned to do for Sunday that much. But, anyway, I had to get out of bed because I am #alive and it was time to set out to visit my sister and enjoy the as long as legendary Neapolitan Sunday lunch. The first stop of the day was at the bakery to buy the same country bread that we buy in the same place every week since I was born roughly half a century ago. Leaving the oven I left for Naples by bus and got off in Chiaiano after taking the metro line 1. From here I could choose whether to walk or take another bus. But since I was lazy enough this week, I walked the 3km that separated the subway and my sister's house.
Once there, not happy with my walk. I took my brother-in-law and I was accompanied on a tour of the town of Marano di Napoli. Near the local cemetery we found ourselves in the park where there is a Roman mausoleum from the imperial era.
The structure better known as "Il Ciaurro" is a funerary building from the 2nd century BC which housed the bodies of the ancient Romans who were buried, depending on the prestige of the person, in more or less better places.
In a second moment it seems that the structure lost its sepulchral destination to be adapted as a water reserve. I must tell you, however, that I certainly would not have liked to draw water from that place.
After this stage in the age of the glorious workers of the Roman era I noticed that I had already reached 10k steps before noon but in the evening I preferred to walk again to reach metro 1, also because I had to start to work off the abundant lunch . See you at the next report
