I woke up early today. As I looked out my living room balcony window, I saw a beautiful sun shining. I got ready to go shopping, taking advantage of the nice weather, and participate in the weekly challenge to buy only potatoes.
From where I live, I have to walk because there is no public transportation nearby. Anyway, I went to the avenue and walked until I reached the LUXOR supermarket, which is the closest to my residence.
Hoy me he levantado temprano. Al asomarme a la ventana del balcón de mi salón, he visto brillar un sol precioso. Me he preparado para ir a comprar, aprovechando el buen tiempo, y participar en el reto semanal de comprar solo papas.
Desde donde vivo, debo caminar porque no hay transporte público cercano. Igualmente, me dirigí a la avenida y caminé hasta llegar al supermercado LUXOR, que es el más cercano a mi residencia.
My advice for the purchase and conservation of POTATOES:
-Choose small, hard and firm to the touch.
-Visualize well that they do not have spots of any color and their color is uniform.
-Preferably to buy them without holes.
-Wash them very well before storing them, preferably in a cool, dry place such as the refrigerator.
-Sometimes, when I buy a lot of potatoes, I remove their skins and put them in the freezer for longer shelf life.
-I always try to buy a few potatoes to use during the week.

Mis consejos para la compra y conservación de las PAPAS:
- Elegir estén pequeñas, duras y firmes al tocarlas.
- Visualizar bien que no tengan manchas de ningún color y su color sea uniforme.
- Preferiblemente comprarlas sin agujeros.
- Lavarlas muy bien antes de guardarlas, preferiblemente en un lugar fresco y seco como la nevera.
- A veces, cuando compro muchas papas, les quito la piel y las llevo al congelador para su mayor durabilidad.
- Trato siempre de comprar pocas papas para utilizarla en la semana.

Unos meses atrás cuando iba a comprar papas, las que encontraba más sucias eran más costosas y las limpias más económicas, hoy en día todas sus presentaciones estaba al mismo precio.
I was able to buy:
🥔Clean potatoes: A value per kilo 35.82 bolivars and the bag I bought cost me 25.07 bolivars. 0.83 $.
🥔 Colombian potatoes: A value per kilo 119.80 bolivars and the tray I bought cost me 45.52 bolivars. 1.51 $.
Pude comprar:
🥔 Papas limpias: Un valor por kilo 35,82 bolívares y la bolsa que compre me costó 25.07 bolívares. 0.83 $.
🥔 Papas colombianas: Un valor por kilo 119,80 bolívares y la bandeja que compre me costó 45.52 bolívares. 1.51 $.
