Alpaca Wool Poncho from Ecuador 🇪🇨 🦙

I love my first poncho; in fact, even with a second in hand, the Bolivian poncho remains my favorite.

However, I wanted to try a more decorative poncho out and diversify a little. This one certainly meets that criteria. The Aztec pattern and multiple colors creates a vibrant effect. This one is also larger and so far feels warmer. It is very thick, but still manages to be impressively lightweight.

While my first poncho came from Bolivia, this one hails from Ecuador, and it came with a little piece of dark chocolate - which I ate immediately after I took the above pictures.

I will have to think on the difference in how I will use these. Right now I’m thinking this one will be most likely reserved for more rugged applications, such as hiking and camping, possibly doubling as the go-to for ceremonial purposes in the colder months.

The Bolivian poncho has already become a daily staple. I wear it almost every day at work, while I’m driving, and just out doing whatever it is strange wizard dudes do.

While this may not be the end of my poncho accumulating, it will probably be a while before I venture out and get another. At a certain point, it’s just hoarding, and I think it’s fair to say I already have all a person needs.

Thanks for checking out some more of my work! As always, I hope you enjoyed witnessing as much as I enjoyed creating!
