This time around, heading out to California to spend some time with @dreemsteem, it feels like the sweet sweet taste of freedom, honestly, it does, and I feel so alive today that I just want to shout it out to the world 😍 (and my hubby and kids are very supportive of my trip too which is fab).
I have been so busy with work the past couple of weeks and am currently busy with month-end procedures at the office (I say office because currently I am working from home), so when I looked at the day today and realised that it was Thursday, I suddenly had a mild panic lol... just over one week to go until I fly across the Atlantic to the USA for just the second time in my life and I haven't looked at a holiday checklist in... over a week...aargh....
I picked the boys up from school, raced to our local sports store, they didn't have my size in my favourite Sketchers, but I grabbed an alternative pair and then raced home for PYPT on the Dreemport Server (I desperately need a couple of new pairs of Sketchers after living in mine for the past 2 years!!!)... mad rush online after PYPT to order a second pair.
Made dinner, packed the dishwasher, hung up some clothes, put another load in, put kids to bed... sat down after 10pm....oh heck...I need to order that sim card too...another scramble set up an account with new provider who has best deal for International roaming 1-month contracts, order sim...sit back relax... just a few bits and bobs to do before next Saturday...aaah... feeling a bit better... now what?...
mmm just after 11pm....aargh I knew there was something else!... Dreemport Challenge!!! Whaaaat??? No post yet for today...what the heck am I going to write about? My head is in a spin... chill Sam... scan the communities... maybe some inspiration will jump out at you.... 10 minutes later... I have nothing... 🙄
Oops... but a post I need to do... so hey I'll write a blog post about how busy my day was and how I've been scrambling to tick off the final few bits on my travel checklist, that's what I'll do.
This is probably the most rushed I have ever written up a post or published one... I usually take a good few days over a post... although I have been known to write a short story on a lazy Saturday afternoon to slide in before a WOTW deadline haha. So, I apologise for the lack of attention to detail on this one.
This weekend I need to print out all my documentation, bookings etc and do one quick whip round some of the local shops for a few odds and ends and then I can pack...
Am I cracking under the pressure of my laissez-faire attitude? Maybe a bit haha. Am I feeling excited? Just a little hehe... can you tell?
