We have already passed the anniversary of the beginning of this count, it was also my birthday a few days ago... we have been through a lot and this #Covid19 #pandemic seems to have not yet decided to leave us, in #Venezulea the count of official cases has decreased, I really hope that they are not lies on this occasion, it is that one has already got used to the fact that the credibility of official sources is very questionable. Meanwhile, we are still in #quarantine, and we are finishing up on Tuesday.
I check what's in the #History for today and I find several events from different fields, but one very old one caught my attention: Today, in the year 44 BC, Julius Caesar was assassinated. This Roman ruler died as a result of a conspiracy in which even his adopted son and other senators who had called him to deliver a request participated, it was all a hoax. They brought weapons into the Senate hall, something that was considered sacrilegious, to then attack Cesar, who after the first stab wound defended himself by burying an awl in his assailant, but this attacker screamed for help and his accomplices pounced on Cesar and stabbed him 23 times, he died at the hands of old enemies and his own allies.
The assassination of Cesar was justified by his aggressors as a way to prevent Cesar, who already had almost absolute power, from rising as King and establishing a Monarchy again, with which the Roman Republic would be finished. But, the civil war that produced this assassination led to chaos in which the Republic was unviable, and an autocratic government was established, leading to the birth of hereditary governments, in which cases the rulers took the name of Cesar as their title of office. ...in the end, the conspirators brought about what was inevitable, the republic fell, and a monarchical government was born.

Ya pasamos el aniversario del inicio de este conteo, también fue hace unos días mi cumpleaños... hemos pasado mucho y esta #pandemia de #Covid19 parece que no está aún decidida a dejarnos, en #Venezulea el conteo de casos oficiales ha disminuido, yo de verdad deseo que no sean mentira en esta oportunidad, es que uno ya se acostumbró a que la credibilidad de las fuentes oficiales es muy cuestionable. Mientras tanto, seguimos de #cuarentena y estamos terminando el día martes.
Reviso que hay en la #Historia para hoy y me encuentro con varios eventos de distintos campos, pero me llamó la atención uno muy viejo: Hoy, en el año 44 aC, fue asesinado Julio Cesar. Este gobernante romano murió a consecuencia de una conjura en la que participó incluso su hijo adoptivo y otros senadores que lo habían llamado para entregar una solicitud, todo fue un engaño y ellos introdujeron armas a la sala del senado, algo que se consideraba sacrílego, para luego atacar a Cesar, que después de la primera puñalada se defendió enterrando un punzón en su agresor, pero este atacante gritó por ayuda y sus cómplices se abalanzaron sobre Cesar y le dieron 23 puñaladas, murió a manos de viejos enemigos y de sus propios aliados.
El asesinato de Cesar se justificaba por sus agresores como una manera de impedir que Cesar, que ya tenía el poder casi absoluto, se elevara como Rey y estableciera de nuevo una Monarquía, con lo que la República Romana estaría acabada. Pero, la guerra civil que produjo este asesinato llevó a un caos en el que la República fue inviable y se estableció un gobierno autocrático, llevado al nacimiento de gobiernos hereditarios, en cuyos casos los gobernantes tomaron el nombre de Cesar como título de su cargo... al final, los conspiradores propiciaron lo que era inevitable, la república cayó y un gobierno monárquico nació.
