I am pleased to participate in the STB Creative Writing Prompt 17, I invite @susurrodmisterio to participate.
Everyone was having fun. I, in particular, was bored by the absurd stories told by the Werewolf. The Devil and the Zombie, on the other hand, were boasting about their great evil deeds. Restless, I decided to finish my coffee, to fly away on my broom as far as I could. However, The Devil upon seeing a feint of wanting to leave, set out to taunt me by making macho remarks.
"Wow, I think The Witch wants to leave us," Satan said mockingly, as he drank from his cup, "I'm not surprised she's the least iconic of the bunch. I for one am known as the Angel of Death, the enemy of God, but of her we can only say that she killed Snow White" instantly everyone began to laugh in unison. Willing to leave and ignore the provocation of my friends, I decided to stay a little longer.
"I'm not surprised that The Witch wants to leave either" said the Werewolf wryly, "she doesn't have a lavish transformation under the light of the full moon, nor does she instill fear, let alone terror, she just has that old broom to fly on. I even have a famous series, Teen Wolf and a character in Twilight named Jacob." I was unperturbed, I didn't even want to respond to this second provocation, I just smiled while waving my hands in the candlelight, "even Shakira dedicated a song to me called: she-wolf".
"There's a she-wolf in your closet" immediately everyone started singing, "Open up and set her free, hoooooowl" everyone howled frantically, while scattering coffee on the floor, this made me laugh heartily, those men wanted to ruin my night, but I was waiting for my turn to attack quietly. I even joined in for a moment singing She Wolf and even made an attempt to dance to Thriller.
"There's nothing special about The Witch either" said the Zombie, so far absent from the conversation, "she only has one series. Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, an old fashioned series that of course was no laughing matter" he said not before mocking and pretending his stupidity, "look at me, even Michael Jackson wanted to have me in the Thriller video, there have been thousands of series and movies like Maze Runner, also video games, dances and things that bill much more than she could even dream of".
Tired of listening to those scoundrels, I set out to raise my voice in a chant that everyone knew, "I put a spell on you, and now you're mine. You can't stop the things I do". I then set out to take the stage in the cafeteria to the beat of my song and wanted to ask the audience a couple of questions. I started with some leprechauns who were sitting right across from where we were.
"Hey you short people" I said pointing at them "do you remember a series from the seventies that had the name Enchanted?" they all said "yes" at the same time, then I pointed to a group of souls in sorrow that were about to arrive at the cafeteria, "you cursed souls, do you remember a series from the nineties called Charmed?" again they all said "yes". "Now the witch is back, and there's hell to pay" continue singing while my friends, looked at me curiously.
Then I looked at a ghost drinking his coffee and pouring all the contents on the floor, "Hey you, did you know that, of all the demons, evil beings, fallen angels and hell beasts, we witches are the only ones who have one day of the year to celebrate our wickedness?" the ghost smiled nodding, "its name is Halloween, a pagan holiday in honor of witches, none here have a day to themselves", I proffered.
"The Devil, not even being God's most beloved angel, has been able to take a day on the calendar to be celebrated, neither has the Werewolf, who is only relevant on full moon nights. Not to mention the Zombie, the least relevant among the creatures of the underworld" my friends looked annoyed, I had humiliated them. So, I laughed loudly and sang again "I put a spell on you, and now you're gone. (Gone, gone, gone, so long!)"
