First Trip On The Bullet Train For 3 Years

The bullet train has just pulled into Hiroshima station and I'm about to hop on it and head for Fukuoka where I'll change trains for Nagasaki.

As it's my first trip on the bullet train for three years I made a point of taking this platform selfie this morning.

This particular bullet train - or "shinkansen" in Japanese - is the "Sakura" ("Cherry Blossom") that runs between Osaka and Kagoshima.

Let's see if I can post some more selfies on this trip to let you know that I'm #alive and even #aliveandthriving ...
