The castle ruins Horen lie on a territory of spur, behind the moat there was a tower with a ring wall which is only poorly preserved today. The castle was built in the 11th century, but already abandoned in the 12th century. The inhabitants are unknown, but probably came from the high nobility. They cultivated an upscale lifestyle, as can be seen from the chessmen and game pieces made of bone.
