Greetings movie lovers, this week of the Cinetv Contest proposes us to share heist movies, I've been thinking since the last time I participated with the Keanu Reeves theme about how good a movie Point Break is, so this is my choice of this week and I'll tell you why.

Point Break (1991)
There are several elements that I consider make this one of the best heist movies, this is about a gang of bank robbers that the media call the gang of ex-presidents, because they wear masks of former presidents of the United States, this is the something that plays a bit like social and political satire, although the film is not about social criticism, having opted for this small prop element gave the film an iconic character, it becomes almost unforgettable for someone to see that the assailants had Putting on these masks of world-renowned former presidents, even for Latin American countries like mine, where everyone easily recognizes the face of Nixon or Reagan, to take an example.

In addition, what is most striking to me is the motivation of the robbers, although the majority of people who dedicate their lives to theft do so with ambition intentions, that is, having large amounts of money, this money really represents what all people would like, that is, who would not like to have money to buy things, but this band and in particular its leader have a very hedonistic motive, the search for pleasure that gives them the practice of extreme sports such as surfing, skydiving or any other activity that generates adrenaline, many people commit crimes because they are addicted to a drug, but in this case the addition is to adrenaline, but it is also a way of always living in search of a new exciting experience, living on the edge where you feel a certain freedom that nothing else can offer, however, it takes money to live that way and therefore robbing banks becomes the search for resources and at the same time joins the activity of seeking thrills every time stronger, I do not at any time validate the motives of these assailants in the film, but without a doubt it is something that any human being could feel, wanting to experience emotions that make them feel fully alive and in this sense the viewer has a certain empathy with the raiders.
Además lo que más llama la atención para mi es la motivación de los atracadores, aunque la mayoría de personas que dedican su vida alrobo lo hacen con intenciones de ambición, es decir tener de grandes cantidades de dinero, este dinero realmente representa lo que todos las personas desearían, es decir, a quien no le gustaría tener dinero para comprar cosas , pero esta banda y en particular su líder tienen un motivo muy hedonista, la búsqueda del placer que les da la práctica de deportes extremos como el surf, el paracaidismo o cualquier otra actividad que genere adrenalina, mucha personas cometen crímenes porque son adictos a una droga, pero en este caso la adición es a la adrenalina, pero también es una forma de vivir siempre a la búsqueda de una nueva experiencia emocionante, vivir al limite donde se siente una cierta libertad que ninguna otra cosa puede ofrecer, sin embargo, se necesita dinero para vivir de eso modo y por lo tanto asaltar bancos se convierte en la búsqueda de recursos y al mismo tiempo se une a la actividad de buscar emociones cada vez más fuertes, yo no valido en ningún momento los motivos de estos asaltantes de la película, pero sin duda es algo que cualquier ser humano podría sentir, querer experimentar emociones que lo hagan sentir plenamente vivo y en este sentido el espectador tiene una cierta empatía con los asaltantes.

No es de extrañar entonces por lo anteriormente dicho, que el personaje de la película encargado de ser el lado bueno, es decir, el lado de la ley, el policía que tiene la misión de infiltrarse en la banda de delincuentes, empiece a tener una relación cercana con el líder de la banda, tanto así que entiende los motivos pero no apoya los medios que están tomando para vivir en ese estilo de vida, por lo que en un breve periodo de tiempo lucha internamente para no sentir empatía por el líder de la banda, ya que el policía se enamora de la ex novia del líder de la banda y se podría decir que empieza a ser amigo de este.
As for the failures of the robbery plan of the gang of the former presidents, I consider that the overconfidence played against them, because the plan was somewhat simple but that simplicity guaranteed them effectiveness, they always took the same amount of seconds in the robbery, this allowed them to leave in time to avoid the response of law enforcement, they always went for the money that was in the boxes and never wasted time trying to steal the vault because this would ruin the plan, however, they to have many successful robberies felt overconfidence, so much so that the first mistake cost them a lot, because if one of the robbers had never shown his backside to a security camera they would never have seen that he had a tan mark that would allow them to suspect that the gang were surfers, the other big mistake that the leader made was to take certain reprisals against the policeman when he was discovered, retaliations that went let's say to an attempt or persuaded form, but it was noticeable that he did not want to kill him, it was a total stupidity to have taken the policeman to the last bank robbery and to change the plan for the first time, that is to say to go to look for the money of the vault.
En cuanto a los fallos del plan de atraco de la banda de los expresidentes, considero que el exceso de confianza les jugo en contra, porque el plan era de cierta forma simple pero esa simpleza les garantizaba la efectividad, ellos siempre tardaban la misma cantidad de segundos en el robo, esto les permitía salir a tiempo para evitar la respuesta de las fuerzas de la ley, siempre iban por el dinero que estaban en las cajas y nunca perdían tiempo intentando robar la bóveda porque esto arruinaría el plan, no obstante, ellos al tener muchos robos exitosos sintieron exceso de confianza, tanto que el primer error les costó mucho, pues si uno de los asaltantes nunca fuese mostrado el trasero a una cámara de seguridad nunca fuesen visto que tenía una marca de bronceado que les permitiría sospechar que la banda eran surfistas, el otro gran error que cometió el líder fue tomar ciertas represalias en contra del policía al descubrirlo, represalias que iban digamos que a un intento o forma persuadido, pero se notaba que no quería matarlo, fue una total estupidez haber llevado al policía al último robo de banco y cambiar el plan por primera vez, es decir ir a buscar el dinero de la bóveda.
As I said at the beginning I would not be on the side of the thieves, but I consider that the plan failed because of their overconfidence and those obvious mistakes, taking huge risks in a plan that they had elaborated and already had successful results, motivated by revenge to the policeman who had discovered them, I do not think it was the smartest way out of trouble, in the end after much persecution where both the gang leader and the policeman had lost their respective partners, the duel of the two doesn't really happen the way it is expected, neither can really kill the other, however, when finally the cop after a few months locates the gang leader in the same place where he dreamed of surfing in Australia, he doesn't arrest him but lets him go to the sea knowing that he would die by the waves, it is there where you see that the cop understands the nature of the soul of the gang leader and understands that this is the way he wants to die.
Como dije al principio yo no estaría del lado de los ladrones, pero considero que el plan falló por su exceso de confianza y esos errores tan obvios, tomar riesgos incensarios en un plan que habían elaborado y ya tenía resultados exitosos, motivado por la venganza al policía que les había descubierto, no creo que fue la forma más inteligente de salir de problema, al final después de mucha persecución donde tanto el líder de la banda como el policía habían perdido a sus compañeros respectivos, el duelo de ambos realmente no se produce de la manera en que se espera, ninguno puede realmente matar al otro, sin embargo, cuando por fin el policía pasado unos meses localiza al líder de la banda en el mismo lugar donde el soñaba surfear en Australia, no lo arresta sino que lo deja ir al mar sabiendo que este moriría por las olas, es allí donde se ve que el policía entiende la naturaleza del alma del líder de la banda y entiende que esa es la manera en que desea morir.
