Hello everyone and welcome back to My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day. I've always commented that color is all around us, in nature, under water, in landscape, and in the sky. We only have to slow down our busy lives and look around us.
The idea for a challenge based on colors assigned to each day was the original concept of a Hive member who organized the Color Challenge Community. I participated in numerous days, providing color images. I was sad to hear of her leaving.
Since I love digital drawings, I decided to create my own version of the colors assigned to different days. It's not a challenge. I'm only sharing with you many of my personal photos and digital drawing images in my collection.
My color for today is green. I've always loved this color in decorating and art. According to colorpsychology.org, green symbolizes harmony, tranquility, and peace. Over centuries, this color has been interpreted as soothing and relaxing. In other fields of study, it is believed to not only enhance stability, but also endurance. I've always read where green is associated with growth and renewal. Some cultures believe this color promotes an optimistic viewpoint to life, hopefulness, and a balance in one's physical and emotional state of being. 1
In the medical field, it was discovered that the color green induces a calming effect. It also generates therapeutic and positive outcomes, such as assisting patients' recovery from surgeries. In the study of mood disordered, this color was perceived as leading to less mood disturbances and perceived exertion. Finally, the color green in a particular habitat is seen as fostering a sense of security and having abundance in nature where an individual or animal's basic needs, such as finding food, water, and shelter can be satisfied. 1
When I think about colors in my own life, I think of how they make me feel on any given day. I design my home in colors that feel calming to me. Since I spend most of my time there relaxing and reading, I want my environment to feel safe. The color green definitely enhances this feeling.
In my wardrobe, I love the dark green colors. I often blend them with maroon and blue.

Digital Drawings
Apophysis 2.09
Apophysis 2.09 is a rendering software. I utilize this program to create and design fractals. As previously stated, a fractal is a visual representation of a complex mathematical formula. In order to produce the images from the formulas, Apophysis renders the flames. This software is open-sourced and free to use.
I love the beauty of fractals. You can interpret them any way you wish.
My first fractal design is a lovely image I call thorns. I like how it suggests a journey into infinity. I'll definitely use this fractal in a project, perhaps as an accompanying image in an alien art project.

This particular image is produced when I utilize the variation: Gaussian Blur. The resulting designs are especially beautiful and useful as backgrounds. I typically use them to add color only and not a lot of noise or distracting images behind my fractals.

My final fractal design is known as a Nova Fractal.

Bomomo
Bomomo is an online drawing program that produces abstract art. The unique tools provide for a set of specific patterns. The various colors change when you move your mouse in different moves. I like this program when I'm looking for images in the form of triangles, waves, cylinders, circles, hexagons, and other patterns.

Nvidia Gaugan
This program is an excellent generative art source for creating landscapes. The tools provided can be utilized to design mountains, hills, buildings, water elements, clouds and the sky. Trees, grass, bushes, rocks and houses turn out extremely well. I was surprised at the depth of the brushstrokes.
These landscape images turned out really nice. I love images with mountains in the background. The first image I was able to include a boat. Designing structures and people are extremely hard. Hopefully, the new releases with correct that.
