(ESP/ENG) Hagamos Donas Caseras// Let's make homemade doughnuts
Hello Hivers in this time of pandemic, there are many people who have dedicated themselves to making recipes at home, as a means of distraction, others because they like the kitchen but because of occupations did not have time to cook and it is also an ideal strategy to share with family.
This time I would like to share with you, the elaboration of homemade donuts.
I must clarify that I am not an expert or anything like that, we simply wanted to make this treat as a family.
The ingredients and the preparation are quite simple, perhaps what will take you is time, since we must let the dough double in size. But otherwise it is a recipe that you will love.
So let's get to work.
Materiales:
Leche tibia 1 1/2 tza o 120 ml
Harina de trigo 2 tazas o 250grs
Azúcar 1/3 taza o 70grs
Sal 1 pizca
Mantequilla sin sal 1/2 barrita o 45grs
1 huevo
Vainilla 1 cucharadita
Aceite 1/2 litro
Azúcar Glass 250grs
Cacao en polvo 100grs
Colorante vegetals
Toppings para decorar: lluvia de chocolate, lluvia de colores, mani, a yu gusto. 100grs
Materials:
Yeast granules 15grs
Warm milk 1 1/2 cup or 120 ml
Wheat flour 2 cups or 250grs
Sugar 1/3 cup or 70grs
Salt 1 pinch
Unsalted butter 1/2 stick or 45grs
1 egg
Vanilla 1 teaspoon
Oil 1/2 liter
Glass sugar 250grs
Cacao en polvo 100grs
Vegetable coloring
Toppings to decorate: chocolate rain, rain of colors, peanuts, to your liking. 100grs
Procedimiento/ Procedure:
Place the warm milk in a container, add the yeast, a tablespoon of wheat flour and a tablespoon of sugar. Mix. Cover with a cloth and let stand for 15 minutes, so that the yeast ferments. Remember that the water must be lukewarm because if it is too hot, the yeast bacteria will die and it will not work.
Then in a container place the flour, the remaining sugar, the salt, and proceed to mix it. We make a volcano with the flour and add the liquid ingredients, the vanilla, the egg, and the yeast already fermented. This is mixed with the help of a spoon, in the same container.
Once the dough is evenly mixed, proceed to sprinkle flour on a smooth surface to knead with your hands for about 15 minutes. This kneading should be energetic, beating the dough against the table to help the dough to degas.
Place the dough in a container, to which you add a little bit of oil all over the container and the dough so that it does not stick. Cover it with a cloth and place it in the sun. This way the heat will help our dough to grow. Do it for 40 minutes
After the dough has rested, we will see that it has doubled in size. We place it on a flat surface and with the help of a rolling pin we extend it, making a sheet of approximately 1 cm thick. Later with the help of a container we take out the donuts and in the central part we will do it with a lid or smaller container to give the shape to our donut. We proceed to cover and again to receive heat for 40 more minutes.
Now we heat the oil over low heat for about 20 min. To know if it is ready, we put inside a little bit of dough, which should float when frying. So we proceed to fry the donuts, 1 minute on each side.
While the donuts are cooling, we prepare the glaze, adding the icing sugar in a container little by little liquid milk and beat with a mixer or a fork. Add lemon or vanilla and continue mixing until the desired consistency is reached. Divide and add coloring to the base glaze which is white, to have different colors in our donuts, or if you prefer add cocoa powder and so the glaze will be with chocolate.
Now the most fun part, decorate the donuts. To do this, put the icing in different containers and put the donut inside, when you take it out, put the toppings of your choice and let your creativity fill it with colors.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, and I encourage you to make your donuts at home, they are delicious.
