The 1-million block of Gridcoin is approaching (see here)...
Following categories are possible in this contest
- keep in mind: ideas listed in one category can also be used in other categories, they are just examples
1. videos ...:
- compile a 30s-60s video and say Thank you, or anything you want
- 20 second "Congratulations to Gridcoin on the Millionth Block". You can wear masks, crazy disguises, do crazy things or simply say: Congratulations.
- create generic Gridcoin media: e.g. 10s animated introductory video, to be used for video uploads on YouTube.
- reach out to the BOINC admins, ... and see if they are are willing to make 20 second videos too?
- presentation of what we/you/Gridcoin has accomplished so far? see also stories
2. pictures:
- do you have suggestions for a Gridcoin mascot/object? post a picture of the mascot with Gridcoin logo
- show off your BOINC hardware rigs
- selfies (with the Gridcoin client, a Gridcoin logo, ...)
3. audio/song contest: e.g. compose a song or suggest a song by others?
- keep in mind to consider licensing issues
- e.g. we might play it in one of our hangouts?
The best top3 contributions in each will get a prize (see below)...

Some open questions are
- until when people can post their contributions and still get a prize? e.g. 1000 blocks before the 1 million block arrives? less, more? Or even until an extended period after the 1 million block arrived? ...
- Is upvoting the best criteria ? Steemit users who have more "power" can influence too much? I mark this line with (A) to refer from below.
