Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 1592 STEEM (+3 STEEM), including 451 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 15203 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 10.47 STEEM cents (0.1047 STEEM), slightly up on yesterday.
As I mentioned in my TULIP game post, profits from tokens do not come in an aorderly linear fashion, but rather depend on fresh buyers raising the token price. Some of our tokens, especially MAPXV and MAPR, will yiled good capital profts, whereas MAXUV and MAPX (and MAPXV too) will continue to boost our reward payouts.
As everybody is now experiencing, rewards have slumped and the increased curation rewards do not fully make up for this. They will do for those people with very high value posts and very high value upvotes, but the New Model Steem is designed so that bloggers must pick one or more tribes/communities on which to also post their articles. Even then, many tribe admins do not necessarily have the experience to run their internal economy, with the inevitable drop in their token price.
The solution to the latter problem is for those admins to seek advice regarding a thorough review of how their economy is structured.
A reminder that MAXUV delivers very high upvotes to help authors increase their rewards.
