A continuation of a story using the daily freewrite prompt from @mariannewest. Today's freewrite prompt is 'sea level.'
Day 40: I can walk now, albeit slowly. We don't have a doctor but we do have pain killers, which I am loooovvvving. I can see why people can become addicted to this. It's almost better than marijuana!
Day 41: I'm told that once upon a time this part of the island used to be below sea level. Which would mean the waters receded at some point, I guess? Which would have happened when the world froze over into a massive ice cube. I can see that. I think it's still minus a gajillion degrees here. My frozen ice-man buddy agrees with me.
Day 42: Interesting thought hit me today. We have a freezer in our camp to keep food.. well... frozen. A freezer. In the camp. In the freezing arctic. Why don't we just dump our food into a snow drift and call it a day?
