Tonight I asked Debbie if she knows how to make lentil soup and she said of course. I said, "Why is it an Irish dish?" She looked at me like I was a dumbass. "How come you've never made it for me?, I ask. She looks up from her phone and says, "I have!" "You sure it wasn't for your other boyfriend's?", slipped out of between my lips. She threw a pillow at me and went to bed. Ok I don't remember having lentil soup, maybe because it wasn't my favorite. But if I can remember pea soup, I should be able to remember a soup named after a movie starring Barbara Streisand. I'm not a dumbass! Good thing I'm playing poker tomorrow, hopefully she'll forget our conversation tonight, or at least the part about her past boyfriend's.
