This is my entry for #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108. Yesterday I went to “Blockchain Thailand Genesis 2019” in Bangkok at the Samyan Mitrtown Center. It was a whole day event with almost 3,000 participants. I hope to write a piece on my thoughts about the event later. Because the weather was so beautiful, I could not resist going for a walk on the garden area outside the fourth floor conference hall.
The third floor of this complex is full of well known restaurants and open food court with cheaper meals. This roof-top garden is open to all customers and visitors. So there are always youngsters taking selfies with skyscrapers background.
There’s a coffee shop in the corner. So, I might have my evening coffee up there one day while taking photos of sunset. There are plenty of seats around the area. The strong wind keeps those branches swaying to-and-flow. The blue sky and warm sunshine are always very heart warming.
เมื่อวานนี้เราไปงานสัมมนาที่ตึกสามย่านมิตรเทาวน์ ที่ห้องประชุมใหญ่ที่ชั้น4 งานนี้เป็นงานใหญ่มาก ที่สมาคมและธุรกิจเกี่ยวกับบล็อกเชนช่วยกันจัดขึ้น เรียกว่าเป็นงานจุดประกายให้คนไทยมาสนใจเรื่องบล็อกเชน และคริปโตกันมากขึ้น เราติดว่าจะเขียนความคิดเห็นของเราด้วยในโพสต์หนึ่ง แต่สิ่งที่เราชอบมากคือ อากาศและพลังที่มีในบรรยากาศในวันนั้น ทำให้เราต้องขอเวลาออกไปเดินเล่น ที่สวนที่นอกห้องประชุมสักพัก ข้างนอกมีบรรยากาศที่น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจมาก เพราะเราเห็นทิวทัศน์ในมุมสูง และเห็นต้นไม้ในมหาวิทยาลัยที่อยู่ตรงข้ามด้วย
เราก็เดินถ่ายรูปตึกระฟ้าที่อยู่ไม่ไกลนัก ท้องฟ้าสีฟ้าสดใส กับแดดอุ่นๆ และมีลมโชยมาจากทางแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ทำให้อยากนั่งดื่มกาแฟสักแก้ว แต่ต้องอดใจไว้ก่อน เพราะเราต้องเข้าไปเก็บเกี่ยว ความรู้จากการบรรยาย และไปกวนใจคนตามบูธต่างๆ ไปตั้งคำถามยากๆ และแปลกๆจนพนักงานของบริษัทตอบไม่ได้ และบอกให้เราถามคนที่ทำเรื่องนี้ตัวจริง เราสนุกกับการตั้งคำถามมาก พนักงานเด็กๆ มักจะคิดว่าคนมางานไม่มีความรู้สักเท่าไร เขายังไม่มีประสบการณ์ในการอ่านคน เหมือนคนที่เคยอยู่ในตำแหน่งผู้บริหารมาก่อน เราก็ถ่ายรูปวิวรอบๆสนุกไปเลย
I did not have my cup of coffee in the garden as I had better get back to the conference. Overall I was quite glad I made the effort to come to this conference. This gave me the opportunity to be aware of the hidden work behind the scenes by several groups of people who understand the importance of blockchain in transforming society and try to work towards a decentralised system of finance and more democratic governance.
