Song To Caracas | Cover | Canto A Caracas

Happy start of the week for everyone! In this opportunity I want to dedicate a post to a city of dreams that has seen millions of Venezuelans triumph over the years, which could not be other than nothing else, and nothing less than Caracas, our capital city.

I always listen to people saying that the people of the interior love this city more than the people of Caracas, and that they are the ones who make the difference, but I, being from the interior of the country and having lived an important part of my life in Caracas, I can assure you that this is false. By its very nature, Caracas is made to love even by international tourists.

At present we are living quite difficult times in Venezuela, and our capital does not escape this situation, but even so this city continues to offer the best it can give to those who are arriving. For many years, we tried to take Caracas to be an example of a cosmopolitan city in the world, and to a certain extent I dare to say that it was like that for many years.

Canto a Caracas

Its architecture is quite exquisite, many do not realize it, but every day they pass by and walk on great monuments that speak about our Venezuelan history; and to have so much concrete in Caracas, there is too much vegetation, which I think is the main characteristic that distinguishes it from other cities. We have a park in every area of the city, and the whole of Caracas breathes with its great lung, the Waraira Repano, better known as El Ávila.

To conclude, we can not deny that regarding the Fine Arts of our Venezuelans, Caracas is the city to succeed. In it are the most important theaters of the country and dozens of museums of all types. In the same streets when walking, you can see different sculptures by great artists. For musicians it is a city of opportunities and international projection.

Caracas represents everything that is good in Venezuela, but it triples it, everything in it is much bigger. There are still many people wanting to work today. There is a crisis that is affecting it, but it does not stop, in its minimum expression it continues to work waiting for the days of light that defined it to return. For the moment I have to sing to this beautiful city that once welcomed me with open arms and that I have never found any comparison for her. I leave you with this song to Caracas...
