See The World #7 - Roadtrip Part 4 (The Pain Memorial/The Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance)

I often call myself a person who easily changes its mood when is not travelling. And when I declare that, I'm talking about going to the mountains, to the woods, to wild and new places. As far as I can from cities and crowded places.

But I do agree that is also very important for our knowledge to not forget about museums, memorials and anything related especially to history. Because through history not only that we learn new things but we also get a picture of how things used to be a few years ago and then compare them with the present - see the pros and cons and what should you do in order to never get to live such moments.

And when I say that, I'm making a connection to the place presented into this part of the series. Because I never thought I could ever get so touched by a touristic attraction. I've seen and heard lots of stories and legends of the places visited before, but this one is not just a story - but actually the cruel life some people had to live.

There are, and will ever be lots of pros and cons about communism, but after I got to visit tens of cells with original documents, the beds where prisoners were sleeping, the torture rooms, the clothes they wore, and many more - couldn't pass by like nothing happened, because visiting The Pain Memorial really had a great influence in my life.

The saddest part is that even nowadays when there is no more communism in Romania, the things didn't seem to be changed too much. I can even say that people from now are way more wicked and wild comparing with those times. But corruption is in the spotlight and no one cares about what's going on, while those people who died in the cells, most of them were not guilty.

So what is wrong? And what is right?

P:S.: Sorry for the previous part of this See The World series. I just realized I used the same miniature for that video and it was supposed to be a different one with other 4 places visited. But that's what it happens when you prepare your posts with some time before and then forget their sequence. :(
I managed to fix the miniature on steemit.com but on both @busy.org and @dtube it shows up the miniature from this one. I promise to not make the same mistake again!
