In early August of this year, I was excited about the upcoming total solar eclipse, so I decided to create a digital artwork in anticipation of it. The dark indigo layer represents, of course, the darkened sky (which didn't get anywhere near that dark during the eclipse). Onto it, I drew another layer with a "sunburst" effect. Then I photographed one of my quartz crystal spheres to represent the moon and superimposed it onto the starburst. It was fun to create and helped me channel my excitement until the big day arrived!
This is another entry in the ColorChallenge which @kalemandra began. It's been such fun participating in it each day since I've been here!
