Everyone speaks of
Woman's Blood,
Its sacredness.
Moontime comes,
We bleed,
That blood signals Life.
But what of
Woman's Blood,
Shed with needle,
Mending family's clothes.
We prick a finger,
We bleed,
That blood signals Life.
And what of
Woman's Blood,
Shed with knife,
Perparing family's food.
We knick a finger,
We bleed,
That blood signals Life.
And what of
Woman's Blood,
Shed with toil.
We housekeep, We comfort,
We smile, We listen.
We touch a heart,
We bleed love,
That love signals Life.
