The 1st December, during its Bond Street Sale in London, Bonhams will auction this stunning 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS Spider, a rare Chairs & Flairs example with a coachwork by Pininfarina and Scaglietti. The auction will start at £ 450,000.

History of the Ferrari Dino 246
For the Formula 2, Ferrari presented in 1967 at the Turin Motor Show, the Dino 206 GT with a design by Pininfarina. The car was named after Enzo Ferrari's late son Alfredino Ferrari, the first car of a separate but related marque. The Dino 206 was a success on the track and on the road, first automobile manufactured in high numbers.
In late 1969, the Dino 246 GT replaced the 206 with a steel's body built by Scaglietti. The Targa version, 246 GTS, was presented in 1972. Ferrari produced 2,295 GTs and 1,274 Spiders.


Specification
The 246 GTS has a 2.4 litre Dino 246 V6 producing 192 hp at 7,600 rpm with a top speed of 235 kmh. This model has the Chairs & Flairs combination, the flared wheel arches and wide wheels with the Daytona seats.
The car was fully restored in the 1990s with bare-metal repaint and full interior re-trim. A driver's car par excellence...
