I received a bread baking book “Brotbackbuch Nr. 1” written by Lutz Geißler. I’ve been a fan of the author and his bread for few years through Plötzblog.

I can read recipes on the blog but how it's nice that I can over view his recipes on a book! For good cooking/baking books, I like old fashion paper books.
I baked toast bread from the book and learned several interesting techniques already.
I'll prepare another one after I finish writing this post :D So many nice bread to bake during winter holidays .....
(Talking about gifts I gave, I gave perfume for my partner and a set of gardening tools and a bucket for my daughter. No other gifts as we skipped to participate in family Christmas gathering because of my partner's cold.)
お父ちゃんからクリスマスプレゼントにもう何年も前からほしかったパンの本をもらいました。Lutz Geißlerさんというドイツのパン職人の『Brotbackbuch Nr. 1』です。彼のレシピはPlötzblogで惜しみなく公開されているのですが、本でこうしてばらばら見られるのってなんていいのだろう！タイトルの通り、Nr. 2、3、4まで続くシリーズで、お父ちゃんもプレゼントのネタにつきないでしょう w
うれしくてさっそく本のレシピで食パンを焼きました。イーストを数時間水につけておいてから生地を作る、焼き上がりに刷毛で水を塗るなどおもしろいテクニックを学びました。この投稿を書き終えたら違うパンの生地を仕込んで眠りにつきます。
この冬休みは本を見ながらパンを焼きまくることになりそうです。
余談： 私があげたプレゼントは、お父ちゃんにはお父ちゃんがスキポール空港でほしそうにしていた香水、子どもには園芸道具とそれを入れておくバケツにしました。みなさんはどんなプレゼントを交換しましたか？
