Goldmatters Searches for Gold in.... Rite Aid?

I thought there was no way I would find any gold themes in Rite Aid.... boy was I wrong!

Things were looking golden right off the bat after entering Rite Aid:

I looked up from my gold frenzy for Mrs. Goldmatters.... no where in sight!

I soldiered on.

I struck more gold:

I still find it fascinating how important gold in our collective conscious. Even though it has been forced out of the formal monetary system, it is such important element to humans, it never has really gone away....

Even though there are GOLD BEARS everywhere:

We are reminded of the Bimetallic Standard once again:

Perhaps if the protagonists in this book had 24 karat gold Menē rings instead of these:

There wouldn’t even be a dramatic novel to write.

On the way out of Rite Aid, I saw more gold:

Mrs. Goldmatters cattle prodded me out the door before I could take any last photos, and it’s probably just as well.

The lesson here is that gold and gold themes are still all over if you look hard enough. I believe that subconsciously people still have a deep rooted understanding that gold is real money... and this is why we see it ...everywhere.
