The winter has come so my contribution to #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday by @ace108, is about snow and cold weather and their effect on my beautiful flowers.
The first thing I saw this morning was the grim looks of the winter. Cities look awful during the winter. Grey, black and white, these are the only shades we see. I just had an epiphany: winter is beautiful in the countryside.
If you don't believe me, check this photo I took last year in my hometown.
But let's get back to the reason I don't like winter so much. Its effect on flowers.
The first snow of the year caught the chrysanthemums in full bloom. These are pretty strong flowers but I still hate seeing their beauty covered by the cold white layer of snow.
Despite the white plague (although snow is translucent just like ice), the mums still show us their beautiful petals.
And so it begins, the Winter I mean. Cold waves of snowflakes replacing the other seasons' colourful palette. I might like it though but only around Christmas. 🙂
Have a great Sunday!
Check out the challenge started by me and @erikah, SeasonChallenge. We would love to learn about your impressions towards the Fall (these being the theme until 1st of December).
