#Beautiful Sunday By @ace108 and #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a
I came upon this plant while at the Botanical garden and had never seen it before so I looked it up after I got home. I thought it looked rather like pimento stuffed olives, but I found that is called Toothache Plant. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and has anti fungal properties that make it particularly helpful in fighting both ringworm and athlete's foot. and it also boosts sexual arousal and performance.
This herb has been used for generations to manage the pain of a toothache. It causes a numbing sensation that lasts about 15 minutes, when you chew the leaves or the flower buds.
Acmella oleracea is member of the same family as asters and daisies.
Is this a plant you are familiar with?
