Today turn out a very enjoyable and fulfilled day my friends parents were visiting Bangkok city all the way from Brisbane , Australia. We had decided to visit the Vintage markets over the other side of town as i felt it would be a interesting place to have a walk around and take us back in time and they agreed so of we went.

To get to the Vintage market you can either take a Skytrain or the MRT which is the underground train we decided on the Skytrain as you can see Bangkok city from above it's more interesting seeing the city then dark tunnels.

So when you get to Mo Chit Skytrain station you walk down to the main road and walk away from Mo Chit station along the main road and follow it along about half kilometer around the bend enjoying some street entertainment as your walking , all young students who will come here on a weekend to play a instrument to earn some monies for their education or for their families.

If you take the MRT underground train when you get to Kamphaeng Phet station jump of take Exit 1 walk up from the underground station and you will see the Vintage market straight in front of you.

So this is what you see in front of you as your exit from the underground train station.

These are all garden settings and statue for water fountains.

These are some beautiful huge street lamps going back in time so much work and design gone into them and probably hand made.

And this was only the outside of this huge Vintage market and already we were seeing some amazing stuff.

This guy was not only selling old style studio photography lights but he had a nice little collection of Bonsai trees he was selling also.

As we walk along the outside towards the end we turn left and there are all little old style cafes were you can have a coffee , tea , beer or something to eat all in a 60 and 70's style and also do some shopping in these cafes so many interesting items in these cafes as well.

We decided not to stop for coffee because there was just so much to see and we were quite happy to move along. This jukebox reminded me of the Fonzie days and Marilyn Monroe all coming alive again.

Stop in and have 70's tattoo done it's all here.

As we walked along we see the first entrance from the front of the Vintage market you just about couldn't see the other end this market was stacked to the top of some many interesting items.

We looked at each other and our eyes just about popped out of our sockets how have they managed to collect all these items and it wasn't only Thai vintage it was Western and European vintage also.

I couldn't begin to tell you the names of all these vintage items but i am sure everyone would know what we are seeing here certainly the ideal place to come if you were doing up a vintage house.

At the other end of one of them long corridor we walked down was a not so vintage store but very interesting maybe Chinese ceramics , pot plants , huge vases , ornaments , statues and many more.

Then it was back up the next corridor to see more. This cash register must have weighed a ton they must have needed at least ten men to move this around in them days.

Anyone for a coke....lol :)

Were is the dial tone how do you make a call with this thing...lol :)

A Italian Vesper side cart motorbike never seen one of these before.

These Holy Crosses were absolutely beautiful if i was to buy anything here today i would be buying one of these stunning Holy Crosses.

So this was the Vintage market it was like going back in a time machine now we needed to get back to reality it was time to get back over the other side of Bangkok city again we were going to meet some more friends at the Hilton hotel on the Chao Phraya River for afternoon Chinese buffet so this time we took the MRT underground train we were right next to the station and it was quicker to get to the other side of the city. We were all starving by this time.

Once we were at the Chao Phraya river they have a free shuttle boat that will take you across the river to the Hilton Hotel how convenient.

About a 15 minute boat ride across to the Hilton hotel enjoying a few of the river views.

Once at the Hilton hotel a couple more photos of the stunning views from the Hilton hotel looking across the river.

Then it was up to the second floor to Yuam Chinese restaurant to murder this Dim Sum Buffet.

We certainly enjoyed this buffet the best of Dim Sum's we have ever tasted and just like that after eating non stop for 2 hours this beautiful Sunday was coming to a end we were back on the shuttle boat and heading home.

Back at the BTS Skytrain said our goodbyes and home for me to write up my adventurous awesome day spent with some of my amazing friends.

And my day had been as beautiful and pretty as these flower and i didn't want to end it.
