This afternoon I made a late visit to the chicken coop. I had noticed a hole in the fence that allowed the little chicks to wander around, all day long. So I went there to fix it when the chickens were about to sleep, to make sure that all of them are inside the fence. I knew that they prefer to sleep on the carob tree that is next to the construction that we have built for them and indeed, on the carob tree they were!
The thing is that I could see the rooster and most of the hens but not the chicks and the hen that hatched them (lets call her mother). On the other hand the rooster looked extremely annoyed with my visit at this completely inappropriate time!
Do you remember our little chicks? I wrote about them in August when they were newly born. If you missed that post you can find it here.
I kept looking for the mother and the little ones, causing more discomfort to the coop but I had to find them. It was impossible for all of them to have disappear on the same time! Meanwhile it was getting darker. I could hardly see under the thick foliage of the carob tree.
And then, οn a branch about 2,5 meters (8 foot) from the ground, I saw her! Τhe mother and all the chicks sitting like birds, looking at me with cautiousness!
They looked so funny up there that I start laughing by myself :)
I tried hard to take some descent pictures but it was so difficult! Auto focus didn't work and pushing my camera to it's limits with the maximum sensitivity of 40000 ISO and wide open aperture at f/1.8 didn't help the image quality at all but I had to share those moments, no matter what!
And since it is Sunday this is my contribution for the #SublimeSunday by @c0ff33a and the #beautifulsunday by @ace108. I hope you like it guys!
