Hey! I haven't posted for a while as, in all honesty, I've just not felt inspired to. I want to stay in the habit of only posting decent content and not fall victim to posting for the sake of it or 'because I should'.
Anyway, first up is something I'm very excited about. So I saw a post by @slothicorn quite a while ago calling for Crypto inspired/based artwork. I read through a few of their posts and really like their way of thinking, a more recent post about cracking down on spam posts confirmed my positive support for them! So I really wanted to make something crypto-based but as my creative outlet is jewellery I was struggling to find something that would work. I sorta forgot about slothicorn as nothing i sketched out looked right and then this weekend i had an idea. Copper Bitcoins!
I found these copper Bitcoin tokens and realised they could look great wire wrapped and made into necklaces. I'm not quite sure how they will look just yet but I'm hoping i can make something killer and perhaps give some of them away on here afterwards. The plan is to wrap them with pure copper wire. If this is popular i'll consider a 925 Sterling Silver edition as I've seen those coins about as well.
I've ordered 20 so a limited edition auction may have to happen but we shall see where things go!
I've also just finished this pendant. It features a watch mechanism and a lovely quartz point.
