Inspired by @jongolson's post about the Evergreen Products at Affiliate Marketing, I will call them public utilities, just for you all understand that these products can be as important as our water, electricity and telecommunications in our homes!
They are not a fancy thing to have neither to spent money on, but the fact is you need them to survive! Well, you don't really need internet to physically survive, but nowadays and our younger population would say it IS really needed to survive! But you always have or try your best to have money to pay for them! Like forever!
As well as Affiliate Marketing, you need these products for your online business to survive! And for them you also need to spent money on, no short-cuts or freebies will be enough to keep the business working properly long-term!
The most important products you need to have, like water and electricity, are the Autoresponder and the Tracking/Analytics Tool.
The Autoresponder helps you automate campaigns and manage one-to-one communication with your recipients. They are useful if you want to send an automatic message to contacts who join your list. You simply cannot build an online business without a contact list or customer list!
The Tracking Tool is already self explanatory, since you need to track what you do and check what's converting the best results. It will increase your profits by letting you know which ads are making you money and which ones are a waste of time!
Other utilities that you can "survive without them" but at the same time "they ARE really needed" are the Community Hub and the Hosting.
