This is my participation in the Movies & TV Shows community contest organized by @moviesonhive dedicated to our 5 favorite comedy series or movies. At first I thought I wouldn't have the minimum to write, but in the end I had to make filter to trim and make it more digestible to read.

I decided to focus on series, since that was what I watched the most when I was younger, and I also looked for series that were not very well known. Although among so many participants it is difficult not to repeat series or movies.

Anyway, I did my best to look for hidden gems, I hope my writing will inspire you to watch some of these series or maybe pick up a series you want to watch in its entirety, since when they were broadcast on television it was almost impossible to watch the episodes in order.

Esta es mi participación en el concurso de la comunidad de Movies & TV Shows organizado por @moviesonhive dedicado a nuestras 5 series o películas favoritas de comedia. En principio pensé que no tendría el mínimo para escribir, pero al final tuve que hacer filtro para recortar y hacerlo más digerible de leer.

Decidí centrarme en series, ya que era lo que más veía cuando era más joven y también busqué series poco conocidas. Aunque entre tantos participantes es difícil que no se repitan series o películas.

De todos modos, hice mi mejor esfuerzo para buscar joyas ocultas, espero que mi escrito te inspire a ver alguna de estas series o quizá retomar alguna serie que desees ver al completo, ya que cuando las pasaban por señal abierta en televisión era casi imposible ver los capítulos en orden.

Without a doubt this is my favorite series and at the same time the most difficult to explain. Since the series is about nothing, it is simply the daily life of a comedian in New York, who lives day to day with his friends.

As boring as it sounds it is incredibly entertaining, handling a humor of everyday life and without a doubt, the heart of the show was Cosmo Kramer. The most random character of the whole series, but at the same time the biggest supporting pillar.

One of its best episodes is number 3 of season 4, where Seinfeld and George present an idea for NBC for a show that will be about doing nothing. Basically that proposal is a self-reference to the essence of the whole series and is the video I posted at the beginning. It is the most organic way to understand this series.

Sin duda alguna esta es mi serie favorita y al mismo tiempo la más difícil de explicar. Ya que la seria trata sobre nada, simplemente es la vida cotidiana de un comediante en New York, que vive el día a día con sus amigos.

Aunque suene aburrido es increíblemente entretenida, manejando un humor de la vida cotidiana y sin duda alguna, la vida del show fue Cosmo Kramer. El personaje más random de toda la serie, pero al mismo tiempo el mayor pilar.

Uno de sus mejores capítulos es el número 3 de la temporada 4, donde Seinfeld y George presentan una idea para la NBC de un programa que tratará sobre la nada. Básicamente esa propuesta es una auto referencia a la esencia de toda la serie y es el video que coloque al inicio. Es la forma más orgánica de entender esta serie.

Dialogues in this series are minimal, everything is based on physical comedy, which is easily enjoyed by anyone, regardless of nationality or language. Everything is visual and despite the fact that many jokes are very basic, Rowan Atkinson's charisma is the main pillar of the show.

Basically the whole series is how great it is, thanks to the actor who plays Mr. Bean, he is a genius doing gestures and poses. Without that actor we wouldn't have the show we had. In fact, he is still active on YouTube, the video used is from the official channel.

Los diálogos en esta serie son mínimos, todo se basa en comedia física, que es fácilmente disfrutable por cualquier persona, sin importar nacionalidad o idioma. Todo es visual y aunque muchas bromas son muy básicas, el carisma de Rowan Atkinson es el pilar fundamental del show.

Básicamente toda la serie es lo grande que es, gracias al actor que interpreta a Mr. Bean, es un genio haciendo gestos y poses. Sin ese actor no tendríamos el show que tuvimos. De hecho, aún sigue activo en YouTube, el video que se utiliza es del canal oficial.

A humble boy from Philadelphia moves with his family to Los Angeles, a family that is in a better social position and the boy will have to learn to live this new social style.

The main character of the series is Will Smith, who is that humble guy and although knowing who Will is today for me the real star of the show was Uncle Philip played by actor James Avery who sadly passed away in 2013 at the age of 68.

Although the whole family had a spectacular chemistry for me Philip was that fundamental piece that made the series unique, as he was the perfect contrast between the high society of where they were located and the humility of the protagonist who is coming up and who has a totally different world than what he knew.

An interesting fact about the series is that Vivian Banks, Philip's wife, changed actresses in season 4. She was originally played by Janet Hubert-Whitten who apparently had friction with all the actors and created a heavy work environment. The funny thing about the change is that the whole family acted as if nothing happened and only an outsider made a small comment, the video above is from that moment.

Un chico humilde de Filadelfia se muda con su familia a Los Ángeles, familia que está en mejor posición social y que el chico tendrá que aprender a vivir ese nuevo estilo social.

El protagonista de la serie es Will Smith, que es ese chico humilde y aunque sabiendo quien es Will hoy en día para mí la verdadera estrella del show era el tío Philip interpretado por el actor James Avery quien lamentablemente falleció en el 2013 a los 68 años de edad.

Aunque toda la familia tenía una química espectacular para mi Philip era esa pieza fundamental que hacía de la serie algo único, ya que era el perfecto contraste entre la alta sociedad de donde estaban ubicados y la humildad del protagonista que está llegando y que tiene un mundo totalmente diferente a lo que conocía.

Un hecho interesante de la serie es que Vivian Banks, la esposa de Philip, se cambió de actriz en la temporada 4. Originalmente la interpretaba Janet Hubert-Whitten quien al parecer tenía roces con todos los actores y creaba un ambiente de trabajo pesado. Lo chistoso del cambio es que toda la familia hizo como si nada pasara y solo una persona externa hizo un pequeño comentario, el video que coloque arriba es de justo ese momento.

Tim is the stereotypical American male who likes power tools, cars and sports. He is a former tool salesman who is still obsessed with power tools. He likes to make misplaced jokes and is very accident prone.

The essence of the show was the main character's accidents and that crazy love for power tools, I guess my love for the show came from the tools, as I loved to buy new tools when I was young.

Tim es el típico estereotipo de hombre americano que le gustan las herramientas, los vehículos y los deportes. Es un antiguo vendedor de herramientas que aún sigue obsesionado con ellas. Le gusta hacer bromas fuera de lugar y es muy propenso a tener accidentes.

La esencia del show eran los accidentes del protagonista y ese amor loco por las herramientas, supongo que mi amor por la serie venía de las herramientas, ya que de joven me encantaba comprar nuevas herramientas.

The story revolves around Eric Forman's family and friends in the 1970s. It focuses on his high school life. The series focuses on the main character and how he lives day to day with his girlfriend and friends, how he faces the 70's with humor and above all a lot of sarcasm.

Part of the series took place in the basement of the house, where all the friends of the protagonist met to talk and plan their crazy ideas, today when you watch the series you realize that it is full of sexism and stereotypes, but for me it was pure magic at the time I watched it.

And I admit that when I was young I had a crush on Donna, the main character's girlfriend played by Laura Prepon. She is currently active on her youtube channel making cooking recipes.

La historia gira en torno a la familia y amigos de Eric Forman en los años 70. Se centra en su vida de colegio. La serie se centra en el personaje principal y el cómo vive el día a día con su novia y amigos, como enfrente a los años 70 con humor y sobre todo mucho sarcasmo.

Una parte de la serie se desarrollaba en el sótano de la casa, donde todos los amigos del protagonista se reunían para conversar y planear sus locuras, hoy en día al ver la serie te das cuenta que está llena de machismo y estereotipos pera para el momento en la veía para mí fue pura magia.

Y admito que de joven estaba enamorado de Donna, la novia del protagonista la cual era interpretada por Laura Prepon. Ella actualmente está activa en su canal de youtube haciendo recetas de cocina.

We follow the school life of Malcolm who is a more or less normal boy who finds it hard to socialize, during the first season through a test it is discovered that he is a genius. He does not like to take classes for child prodigies because he gets ridiculed by the other students.

The whole family is a total chaos, the mother is a controlling, ruthless woman with touches of madness, the father is immature but loving. His brothers start the series being a total chaos of rebellion, but little by little they find their way and evolve as characters.

In this series the essence is everyone, as the whole family does crazy funny things going to incredible extremes. Although I must confess that my favorite is the mother, she is the most extreme and above all has a sense out of this world to detect the stupid things her children and husband do.

Seguimos la vida escolar de Malcolm quien es un chico más o menos normal que le cuesta socializar, durante la primera temporada mediante un test se descubre que es un genio. A él no le gusta tomar clases para niños prodigios ya que recibe burlas de los demás estudiantes.

Toda la familia es un caos total, la madre es una mujer controladora, despiadada y con toques de locura, el padre es inmaduro pero amoroso. Sus hermanos inician la serie siendo un caos total de rebeldía, pero poco a poco van encontrando su camino y evolucionando como personajes.

En esta serie la esencia son todos, ya que la familia entera hace locuras divertidas llegando a extremos increíbles. Aunque debo confesar que mi favorita es la madre, es la más extrema y sobre todo tiene un sentido fuera de este mundo para detectar las estupideces que hacen sus hijos y esposo.

And we come to the classic of classics, to the essence of all TV series when it comes to comedy. Six friends living in Manhattan who share their happiness, sadness, love and heartbreak throughout 10 seasons. Although the premise sounds simple this series is pure magic, it has everything and is always well accompanied by humor.

It is difficult for me to talk about this series, it is the one that brings me the most memories, but at the same time they are all mixed up because of the great time that has passed. Someday I have to watch the whole series again, since on television many times the chapters were not broadcasted respecting the order.

A moment that I remember very affectionately is the couple that formed with Monica and Chandler, that love was an important change in the dynamics of the series with the other characters, what I do not remember well and if they had a happy ending together.

Although to be honest the great couple of the show was Ross and Rachel, since it took too long for them to get together, it was a suffering to see how little Ross managed to advance and yes, I admit that my other impossible love when I was young was Rachel. The complicated thing about this relationship is that both personalities were very strong and went through many breakups, although in the end, as far as I remember, they did manage to stay together.

Y llegamos al clásico de los clásicos, a la esencia de todas las series de TV cuando hablamos de comedia. Seis amigos viviendo en Manhattan que comparten sus alegrías, tristezas, amor y desamor a lo largo de 10 temporadas. Aunque la premisa suena simple esta serie es magia pura, tiene de todo y siempre está bien acompañada de humor.

Me es difícil hablar de esta serie, es la que más recuerdos me trae, pero al mismo tiempo están todos mezclados por el gran tiempo que ha pasado. Algún día tengo que volver a ver la serie entera, ya que en televisión muchas veces los capítulos no se emitían respetando el orden.

Un momento que recuerdo con muchísimo cariño es la pareja que se formó con Monica y Chandler, ese amor fue un cambio importante dentro de la dinámica de la serie con los demás personajes, lo que no recuerdo bien y si tuvieron un final feliz juntos.

Aunque siendo sinceros la gran pareja del programa fue Ross y Rachel, ya que tomo demasiado tiempo que lograran unirse, era un sufrimiento ver lo poco que lograba avanzar Ross y si, admito que mi otro amor imposible de joven era Rachel. Lo complicado de esta relación es que ambas personalidades eran muy fuertes y pasaron por muchísimas rupturas, aunque al final por lo que recuerdo es que si lograron quedarse juntos.

Remembering all these TV series was a wonderful trip, it brought back a lot of memories not related to the shows and above all it made me look for information about some actors to see what they are doing nowadays. It is inevitable to feel old when looking at the premiere date of each show, but overall it was very enjoyable to do this writing.

Recordar todas estas series de televisión fue un viaje maravilloso, me trajo muchísimos recuerdos no relacionados a los programas y sobre todo me hizo buscar información sobre algunos actores para ver qué hacen actualmente. Es inevitable sentirse viejo al ver la fecha de estreno de cada show, pero en general fue muy agradable realizar este escrito.
