Cuando vi esta [Iniciativa: Perros de la calle: ¿un problema o una oportunidad?](https://ecency.com/spanish/@hiveargentina/perros-de-la-calle-un-problema-o-una-oportunidad-street-dogs-a-problem-or-an-opportunity-oror-iniciativa) Gracias a la invitación de mi amiga @annafenix; de una vez recordé a los perros callejeros de mi comunidad y no solamente a ellos, sino también a los gatos, que están en situación de calle. Pero como en esta ocasión hablamos de nuestros guardianes perrunos con alas, nos enfocaremos en ellos. Siempre me han gustado los animales, crecí rodeada de ellos de perros, gatos, gallinas, palomas en fin; pero siempre tuve una conexión especial con los perros, ya que los que tuve en mi infancia fueron muy amorosos y fieles, aparte, fueron perros adoptados de la calle que mi padre veía en situaciones precarias y se los traía a casa, pienso que ese amor, compasión por los animales desvalidos me lo heredó él. Recuerdo que esos perros fueron un mestizo amarillo llamado "secretario" por mi padre, porque decía que era muy juicioso y bien mandado, ja, ja, ja y así era. El otro se llamaba "Toby" era otro mestizo blanco con manchas marrones. Este era todo lo contrario a Secretario, muy mal portado a veces y travieso. Pero era el que me acompañaba todos los días a la escuela y también me iba a buscar. Superinteligente, muchas veces me tocaba sacarlo del colegio en medio de las risas de los niños y profesores. Cuento todo esto, para que vean de dónde nació ese sentimiento de amor y protección con los perros de la calle y lo que significan para mí. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmVf7FektcxNrUEeiLaTjtnyszQ6DV5GXwprTUhj3NyWk6/image.png) ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmRBDpCAjdKX1VfVVUYSLjBcELsrAuLmdBdnh4bdkP8BsE/image.png) Ya de adulta mis primeras mascotas fueron perros, solo de los 2 perros que tuve compre solo a uno y fue mediante la asesoría de mi ex pareja, era una hermosa, lobo siberiana, debo decir que ella era como su nombre "Duquesa" porque se comportaba como si de la realeza se tratara ja, ja, ja, por eso el nombre, era cariñosa a su manera, fiel también lo fue; pero nunca como fue mi mestiza "Dakota" esta perrita la vimos en la calle y algo en su mirada me dijo llévame y así fue. Esta perrita no tenía memoria, porque siempre venía a ti. Así vinieras de mal humor, así no quisieras de momento su compañía; cuestión que pronto descubrimos era imposible negarse a esa mirada de amor. Era un ángel de 4 patas; su humildad y cariño nos ganaban. Así que, basada en toda mi experiencia con los perros, los de la calle llegan a ser más fieles que los de raza; en muchas ocasiones, son más agradecidos que los que son cuidados desde que nacen. Hoy cuando salí por mi comunidad y empecé a tomarle fotos a los perritos comunitarios, pero que realmente no viven con nadie y solo merodean por entre los comercios, edificios y calles; pero que afortunadamente muchas personas les ayudan en su alimentación y bebida, sobre todo los comerciantes de la zona, que les proveen de alimento, agua e incluso los mandan a esterilizar y les permiten estar por las áreas comunes de sus negocios y ellos felices, aquí les presento a algunos de ellos. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmc7Y5kGUc2KGpU4LP4iF6mT3JREgG1JRXkT8oz5qgCxiT/image.png) Esta es mi participación en esta hermosa comunidad; asimismo invito a mis amigos @actioncats y @ismaelgranados, ¡saludos!

But since this time we are talking about our winged canine guardians, we will focus on them. I have always liked animals, I grew up surrounded by them—dogs, cats, chickens, pigeons, you name it; but I always had a special connection with dogs, as the ones I had in my childhood were very loving and loyal. Besides, they were street dogs that my father would see in precarious situations and bring home. I think that love and compassion for helpless animals was inherited from him. I remember that those dogs included a yellow mixed breed called "secretary" by my father, because he said he was very well-behaved and obedient, ha, ha, ha, and he was. The other one was named "Toby," he was another white mixed breed with brown spots. He was the complete opposite of Secretario, very misbehaved at times and mischievous. She was a beautiful Siberian Husky, and I must say she was true to her name "Duchess" because she behaved as if she were royalty, ha, ha, ha, that's why the name. She was affectionate in her own way, and she was also loyal; but never like my mixed breed "Dakota." We saw this little dog on the street, and something in her gaze told me to take her, and that's how it happened. This little dog had no memory, because she always came to you. Even if you came in a bad mood, even if you didn't want her company at that moment; a fact we soon discovered was that it was impossible to resist that loving gaze. He was a four-legged angel; his humility and affection won us over. So, based on all my experience with dogs, street dogs tend to be more loyal than purebreds; in many cases, they are more grateful than those that are cared for from birth. Today, when I went out in my community and started taking pictures of the community dogs, who really don't live with anyone and just roam around the shops, buildings, and streets; but fortunately, many people help them with food and water, especially the local merchants, who provide them with food, water, and even take them to get sterilized and allow them to stay in the common areas of their businesses, and they are happy.
