Today, I would like to introduce you to my team of 11 (just like in football). There’s absolutely no doubt that this competition showcased an incredible amount of talent — honestly, an overwhelming amount! Watching all the performances made it clear just how powerful the universal language of music can be, connecting people from all over the world. When it comes to our emotions and our lives, it’s impossible to think purely objectively. We can certainly tell when something sounds good or when someone sings beautifully. But when a performance moves us — stirring emotions or evoking memories that touch our hearts — that’s something beyond scientific explanation. Feeling is woven into our DNA, and it’s different for each of us. The way we experience music is a blend of how we perceive technical execution and the emotional connection that interpretation brings. As I said earlier, this is unique for everyone, shaped by our individual personalities, life experiences, and personal tastes. That’s why each of us connects differently to each musical stimulus. So today, I am sharing, from my personal perspective, the performances I felt the strongest emotional connection with — performances that I found truly spectacular. Believe me, if I were judging purely on technical and objective criteria, I could easily form six full football teams with the amazing talent I witnessed during this competition. But since music is about emotional connection (and because 66 people would make a rather large team 😄), I’ve chosen to highlight the performances that personally inspired a sense of joy and well-being when I listened to them. It’s important to mention that I also considered the competition’s rules: while there were some performances I connected with deeply, not all of them used a "second language" or explained their choices sufficiently according to my perspective. Please remember that this is just my personal opinion and my way of experiencing and understanding music — something I truly and passionately believe in.

Muy buenas a todos, Vibers: Ha sido una gran jornada esta semana 33 en el Vibes Web Music Competition, y ya se han cerrado las plazas para participar. Hoy quiero presentarles a mi equipo de 11 (como en el fútbol). No cabe duda de que hay muchísimo talento —¡demasiado talento!— al observar a todos los participantes de este gran concierto. Cada interpretación deja en evidencia la increíble conexión y talento que existe en todo el mundo, a través de un lenguaje de comunicación universal: la música. Cuando se trata de nuestra emocionalidad y nuestra vida, es imposible pensar únicamente de manera objetiva. Podemos reconocer cuando algo suena bien o cuando alguien canta bonito, pero cuando una interpretación logra despertar emociones o traer recuerdos que tocan nuestros sentimientos, eso va más allá de cualquier explicación científica. Sentir está en nuestro ADN, y cada persona lo vive de manera distinta. La forma en que percibimos la música es una mezcla entre la ejecución técnica y la carga emocional que nos transmite la interpretación. Como mencioné antes, esto varía para cada uno, ya que todos llevamos una combinación única de emociones moldeada por nuestra personalidad, nuestras experiencias y nuestros gustos. Eso nos hace conectar de manera diferente con cada estímulo musical. Así que hoy les comparto, desde mi perspectiva personal, las interpretaciones con las cuales sentí una conexión más profunda y que, a mi parecer, fueron simplemente espectaculares. Créanme, si me enfocara solo en la técnica y la ejecución objetiva, podría formar fácilmente seis equipos de fútbol con la cantidad de personas que brillaron en este concurso. Pero como la música se trata, sobre todo, de conectar (y porque 66 personas sería demasiada gente para este equipo 😄), he decidido resaltar aquellas interpretaciones que inspiraron en mí un verdadero bienestar emocional al escucharlas. Cabe destacar que tomé en cuenta también las reglas del concurso: aunque hubo algunas interpretaciones con las que conecté muchísimo, no todas utilizaron el "segundo idioma" o no explicaron suficientemente su elección según mi perspectiva, por lo que no las incluí aquí. Recuerden siempre que esta es solo mi opinión personal y mi manera de entender la música, en la que creo fervientemente.

It's clear that you fully enjoy the moment when singing, letting yourself be carried away while still maintaining the necessary attention to detail to deliver an excellent performance. **Technical:** You have outstanding control over dynamics and volume throughout the song, creating goosebumps during the climactic moments. It’s extremely difficult to deliver such a strong performance while playing an instrument at the same time; breaking through the mental barrier of playing, singing, and interpreting simultaneously requires not just talent but also years of dedication and practice. That’s something I can clearly notice, and I truly congratulate you for it — you are a great musician! **Detail (from a sound engineer's perspective):** I can't help but point out a small detail that could help you improve your recordings even more. I'm not sure where you recorded this, but I'd recommend doing it in spaces that have more furniture and avoiding standing too close to walls. Being close to a wall increases what's called "early reflections" — the first and most intense sound bounces — which can take away some bass and clarity (intelligibility) from your sound. A good guideline would be to place yourself about 1/4 of the room’s size away from the walls. For example, if your room is 4 meters long, try standing 1 meter away from the wall and avoid corners. A furnished room helps absorb those reflections. It's just a matter of experimenting, moving around, and listening carefully. Also, your dynamic control (volume management) is brutal — it’s impressive how clearly your voice and guitar come through, considering you are most likely recording with a phone microphone capturing both sources from a distance. That’s a skill that takes a lot of time and practice to master. Massive congratulations!

**Emocional:** Sin lugar a dudas, una interpretación increíble. Tu forma de moverte y expresarte llega directamente al alma. Tu lenguaje corporal comunica muchísimo: a pesar de que la guitarra requiere parte de tu atención, en ningún momento resulta una distracción visual. Se nota que disfrutas profundamente el momento de cantar y te dejas llevar, pero siempre con la atención a los detalles necesarios para lograr una interpretación excelente. **Técnico:** Hay un gran manejo de dinámicas y volúmenes a lo largo de la canción, logrando que en los momentos de clímax literalmente se ponga la piel de gallina. Es muy difícil realizar una interpretación tan buena mientras tocas un instrumento al mismo tiempo; superar la barrera de concentrarse en tocar, cantar e interpretar requiere no solo talento, sino también muchísimo tiempo y dedicación. Es algo que se nota de inmediato, y de verdad te felicito: ¡eres un gran músico! **Detalle (desde la mirada de un ingeniero de sonido):** No quiero dejar pasar algunos pequeños detalles técnicos que podrían ayudarte a perfeccionar aún más tus grabaciones. No sé exactamente dónde grabaste, pero te recomendaría hacerlo en espacios con más muebles y evitando pegarte demasiado a las paredes. Estar muy cerca de una pared genera "reflexiones tempranas", que son los primeros rebotes del sonido con mayor intensidad. Esto puede afectar la claridad (inteligibilidad) y reducir algo de los graves naturales de tu voz o guitarra. Una buena regla sería colocarte a aproximadamente 1/4 del tamaño del cuarto; por ejemplo, si tu habitación mide 4 metros, ubícate a 1 metro de la pared y evita las esquinas. Un cuarto amueblado ayuda mucho a absorber esas reflexiones. Es cuestión de moverse, probar y escuchar. Por otro lado, tu dinámica (manejo de volumen) es brutal: es impresionante cómo logras que se entienda tan bien tu interpretación grabando —supongo— con un micrófono de celular, capturando tanto guitarra como voz desde cierta distancia. Esa es una habilidad que toma años desarrollar y dominar. ¡Felicidades totales!

Your voice is the true star here, and your subtle, beautiful dynamic shifts deserve to be highlighted more clearly. As your voice is still developing, it can naturally sound a bit bright. Mis más sinceras felicitaciones, sigue desarrollando ese gran talento. **Detalle (desde la perspectiva de un ingeniero de sonido):** Desde mi perspectiva, la pista instrumental está un poco alta. Tu voz es la protagonista, y tus matices dinámicos —tan sutiles y hermosos— merecen ser percibidos con mayor claridad. Esto podría solucionarse bajando un poco el volumen de la pista o ecualizándola para dejar más espacio a tu voz. De todas maneras, tu voz sigue brillando de forma increíble. Tu voz, como es natural a tu edad, puede sonar un poco brillante. Para mejorar eso, intenta no colocarte demasiado cerca de las paredes al cantar, y busca espacios con algunos muebles que absorban las primeras reflexiones acústicas, que tienden a agudizar un poco el sonido captado por el micrófono del celular (lo explico más en el comentario de Isbelhiv). Bajando un poco la pista lograrías que tu voz tenga más espacio y evitarías esa saturación. Tu dinámica vocal es digna de un cantante profesional; deberías pensar en grabar con un micrófono dedicado para lograr un control aún mayor y una mejor flexibilidad. **Emocional:** Jamás se me habría ocurrido escuchar o interpretar al maestro Antonio Lauro con una guitarra eléctrica. Quizá ya exista, pero para mí resulta algo innovador y refrescante. Fueron maestros como Lauro quienes se atrevieron a hacer cosas distintas con sus instrumentos y melodías, sentando así las bases de gran parte de la música moderna.Te agradezco enormemente por ofrecer esta magnífica interpretación de uno de los temas más característicos de nuestras tierras, ahora con el matiz especial que aporta una guitarra eléctrica. **Técnico:** Imagino que la dificultad de interpretar este tema en una guitarra eléctrica debe ser considerable. La agilidad necesaria es alta, pero los puntos de presión en una guitarra eléctrica son mucho más pequeños que en una clásica, lo que cambia por completo la sensación y el enfoque técnico.Sin embargo, ese cambio también le da un sonido muy particular y distintivo a la pieza. Gran trabajo en adaptarlo tan bien. **Detalle (desde la perspectiva de un ingeniero de sonido):** Sinceramente, no tengo críticas técnicas que hacer. Me encanta el tono cálido y pastoso que elegiste para la guitarra; me recuerda mucho al sonido de una Gibson, aunque no sé exactamente qué guitarra estás usando.¡Felicidades! **Emocional:** ¿Te da curiosidad cómo suena una cubana cantando en gaélico? ¡Aquí lo tienes, y suena increíble! Me encanta tu interpretación, está llena de emoción, movimiento y una combinación de altos, bajos y diversas técnicas que le otorgan a la canción una expresividad muy especial. Tu atención al detalle en cada parte es admirable; los cambios de matices se sienten delicados y bien logrados, conectando de manera muy profunda con emociones como el amor familiar, la fraternidad y el amor de pareja. **Técnico:** Tu voz tiene un equilibrio increíble, manteniendo siempre un volumen e intención consistentes, lo cual es clave para este tipo de canciones.Tu manejo de la dinámica es excelente, al igual que los cambios de volumen, que se sienten naturales y bien llevados. La combinación con la flauta me parece un valor añadido maravilloso. Me encanta cómo, en algunos momentos, las armonías de la flauta divergen y convergen con tu voz, creando un diálogo sonoro muy atractivo. **Detalle (desde la perspectiva de un ingeniero de sonido):** Parece que estás grabando en un espacio grande, donde algunas reflexiones de sonido chocan ligeramente en ciertas frecuencias. Esto es bastante normal en ambientes amplios, donde siempre existe un "punto dulce" que ayuda a controlar mejor las resonancias. Creo que ha sido una buena decisión aprovechar el sonido natural de la sala para esta interpretación; solo te recomendaría experimentar y cantar en distintas zonas del espacio para encontrar dónde tu voz se comporta aún mejor.

**Emocional:** ¡Qué buen flow, hermano! Gran interpretación. Tienes muchísimo talento tanto en composición como en interpretación. Por lo que entiendo, este es un tema original en un idioma distinto al tuyo, lo cual me parece aún más impresionante. Durante el concurso, tuve especial cuidado de no elegir cualquier tema en inglés. Sin embargo, lo tuyo fue una excepción: la vibra, el ritmo y la manera en la que utilizas diferentes recursos vocales para darle percusión a la canción me recordaron en algunos detalles a Michael Jackson, quien también usaba sonidos vocales para enriquecer su interpretación más allá de simplemente cantar. **Técnico:** Un equilibrio brutal entre la rítmica, la pronunciación y el manejo del beat. Me parece un tema y una producción excelentes: esa flauta y esos tambores están encendidos. Me encantaron los pequeños detalles, los distintos sintetizadores y sonidos que adornan el tema. Se nota el cuidado y cariño que pusiste en cada aspecto de la canción, como siempre haces con tu trabajo. ¡Felicidades! **Detalle (desde la perspectiva de un ingeniero de sonido):** Un trabajo tremendo. Me divertí muchísimo escuchando el beat, y ya lo he repetido cientos de veces tratando de descubrir qué otros instrumentos sutiles has escondido en la mezcla. Es genial cómo, en cada compás, introduces pequeños elementos sin opacar lo principal, que es la voz. Personalmente, quizás habría puesto un poco más de presencia en el bajo, aunque reconozco que eso podría restarle impacto a la percusión. ¡Un trabajo maravilloso!
